Thank you Michael for the nice demo with commentary. I think one of the things I like about your videos is how smoothly you make your flights and you talking about your pattern instructor from 1973 means you have burned a lot of fuel to hone that skill. You make the planes look good, but you instill a desire for me to be as smooth as I can be. Thank you.
Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. That was another thing my instructor emphasized was to try and fly as smooth as possible. I think it looks better than some of the jerky jerky styles out there… but that’s just me.
0:55 Anytime Micheal just keep up what you have been doing by putting all Eflite planes though their paces👍😁👍😁👍 Another awesome job on the flight Micheal👍😎👍
Horizon just delivered one to me and can't wait to get it in the air.... nothing like a little "PIZAZZ".... my new word for the day....beautiful flying..👍👍
I am really liking the Cherokee for my flying style. Hopefully I get a little more comfortable with the narration as I’m not used to chatting, especially to myself, while I fly.
Your so fun to watch fly. And to hear your commentary through out the flight makes it even better. Keep em coming. Love to see the super timber one day. Thanks for the entertainment.
"No big-time influencer?" 😳 Just one of the best, most crisp RC pilots on TH-cam. We've got a new member to our club here in east TN using our field to get some flying time in with his pattern plane. Gary's actually from Alabama, but is working in this area for a while. Talking with him the other day, I mentioned how much I found you on TH-cam and enjoyed your flying style. He says he knows you from events over the years. He's a "seasoned" guy too! 😉
Very impressive! Today, I tried it myself with just a roll slightly upwards to not having to compensate, as I do not have the coordination yet with rudder and elevator. It was actually way better than I remembered- trim seemed good. Also, when flying inverted. I only need very little push on elevator to keep it level. I should consider more expo 😆. Well, this manoeuvre - as simple as it seems to be - will take a bit longer, I guess. But you always show me, where I want to go. Thanks for that! 😊
@@michaelclinerc3211 there are planes, that just look so calm and romantic when beeing flown smooth and "boring". the cherokee is exactly that. though it can be flown pretty fast and agressive. Michael, could you please fly a freewing mirage and an F-5 Tiger. i would love to see, how you command these 2 planes.
Amazing flying as usual Michael! It was great to hear your voice! I have an older version of this model, but it doesn't do for me what it does for you LOL! I so wish you lived close as it would be awesome to watch you live!!
Thanks Roland. I wasn’t sure how everyone would like my babbling while I fly. It is a little different trying to carry on a conversation with myself while I fly.
It took me forever to get this video made. The few decent nights we’ve had on our side of the state I was always tied up with other commitments. Hopefully we’ve turned the corner on the weather.
Very nice flying sir. One word to describe your prowess on the sticks would be “smooth “! Thank you for the narration it’s great to hear that especially if you’re trying to learn some of your techniques. Maybe you could do some tutorials for us? Always a joy to watch you fly.
I for one would benefit greatly from this. I’m teaching myself to fly powered fix wing via watching content like yours and just good old trying different stick movements. Hope you can do a series on how to do those great acrobatic maneuvers. 👍🏻
Wonderful! You showed me, that my (last gen) Cherokee probably isn’t trimmed very well yet. It doesn’t roll as nice and smooth by any means. I’m sure you need to do quite some compensation on the sticks that she doesn’t loose altitude while rolling horizontally, but I guess if you just use aileron, the roll would still look like a roll around the longitudinal axis and not crooked or so (lacking the right words here). I will pay more attention to this on my next flight. Always a big joy to watch you fly!
Thanks Dan. I would agree that the RV-7, being a little shorter coupled, is a more capable tumbler and will pop-top and flat spin better. The Cherokee is a bit smoother in rolling and looping maneuvers.
I typically 30% to 40% depending on the plane and the amount of control throw I have. In most cases I try and mechanically max out the available control throw.
For my flying style my three favorite are the Commander 1.4m, the Valiant 1.3m and the Cherokee. My favorite UMX is the UMX Air Tractor. My favorite wood ARF/BNF is the turbo timber SWS 2.0m.
So glad you mentioned the Umx Air Tractor. I’m not nearly as good as you but I just love that plane it flies really stable and makes me look like I know what I’m doing 😂.
Brother, that was great. Btw, I really enjoy you narrating the process. Please continue to do that... Thanks for sharing.. Will
Thanks Will. I’ve been enjoying your videos and I’m jealous of your temporary pond for float flying. We need one of those at our field.
The E-flite Cherokee is fun to fly for sure. Watching Mike fly his Cherokee is a treat as well.
Thanks Doug!!!

Awesome flying. Cool to hear your voice . Thanks Cline!
Thanks Archie. I wasn’t sure how everyone would receive my babbling so I’ll try and keep up the commentary.

Thank you!!! I think you are really going to enjoy flying the Cherokee.
Mike as usual...outstanding, smooth flying! Very capable airplane. I'm really enjoying the narration. Great story about the "Mandatory 4-point roll".
I am really liking the Cherokee for my flying style. Hopefully I get a little more comfortable with the narration as I’m not used to chatting, especially to myself, while I fly.
It's alway's a pleasure to look at your video ! That was Nice ! Smooth and precision ! Well done Michael ! 💙👍
Thanks Mike! Hopefully my babbling doesn’t detract from the flying.

Hopefully the Super Timber is next on the list. Thanks for watching!
Great review of this sweet plane, I enjoy watching you put the planes through their paces 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! I really appreciate that you watch my videos!

Thanks gmorphan! I just “stay in my lane” so to speak and do my flying videos.
Love the video Michael! Thanks for narrating as you flew. Inspired me to try new things. Thanks again, Mark
Thanks Mark. I hope to upload a video or two maybe later this summer on how I fly aerobatic maneuvers.
Thx for sharing, missed your flights for a month so nice to watch a new episode of your skills.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
Thank you! We’ve had such terrible weather this spring it’s been tough finding decent weather to make a video.

Smooth operator
Thank you. I never got into flying the crazy hectic style of flying.

Yeah, mr you make it looks easy. Me l practise and practise. Nice plane and flight once again mr. Have a nice weekend over there😃
Thank you!
Well done, Michael. I enjoyed that flight. The weather has been pretty poor here in Saginaw too. After all, it is Michigan. 👍🏻🙂

Thank you for your kind words! I have in-fact thought about doing some videos where I go step by step though each maneuver.

i like to do those half loop rolls myself and then reverse and do a loop above the lower loop
Nice! We called those vertical 8’s back in the day. It’s a cool maneuver.
You’re a hell of a pilot. Very enjoyable watching you fly!
Thanks JN! I appreciate your comments!
You've got some time behind the sticks, great flying! Would be cool with a camera on board
Thanks Kurt! 51 years of flying RC… you’d think I’d be better. 🙂

Thanks Alexander! I do need a fair amount of rudder and elevator compensation to keep the rolls axial.
Nice flight MC. Seems to me that the Cherokee and the RV-7 are very similar. The RV is a bit more aerobatic.

Nice pussycat! I surely dig my gen 1. Fantastic plane to fly and you do it so smooth and good looking.
Thanks Sunrise RC. By the way, early morning flying is my favorite time to fly.
