I love this channel because most of the comment here are nice no matter the achievement is from which country, and content here are just pure science without any political stance
Basically, the first men ZHAI saying: Report to the motherland and people that he has successfully completed his task. He feels good now. Thank President Xi for his attention, the support and encouragement of the people all over the country, and the company and work of the engineering team. Because the country has developed, he has such an opportunity. He is proud of his increasingly prosperous motherland. The female taikonaut Wang Yaping also said that they are now back in the embrace of the motherland and are very, very happy. She said to give everyone safe news first to reassure everyone. She also wanted to tell her daughter that the mother who picked the stars was back.
Actually lands horizontally would make the exit of the astronauts easier. It landed side-way several times in the past. It’s not easy to control how it sits when touch down - largely depends on the wind speed.
Much like the Soviet Union before it, China tends to be very secretive about its space program. I’m actually surprised that they showed as much as they did here.

Congrats. I have a question tho. Why they didn't turn the capsule on its side? which makes the crew much easier to get out through the hatch. Instead they put a platform there and need serveral people to cradle the crews out. I did bit research and found some soyuz missions also extract the crews in similar way (tho mostly not). What makes they not turning the capsule and choose to get the crews out with seemingly much more effort?
@@SciNewsRo I see. thanks for the answer, that was a stupid question...no wonder why no one else has asked. I thought it is common procedure to put the capsule on side for easier crew extraction, probably because many photos I found show the capsule on its side (even in museums many of the capsules are displayed like that).
I think it's just a safer and stronger design. When they come in the atmosphere, they come bottom first, and the bottom heatshield and sides take the most of the heat, so it needs to be strong and sturdy, aka no openings. Maybe the door will also get heated and welded stuck if it's on the side. You want the door to be on the opposite side of the direction it approaches earth for such a reason. It's just the best design for safety and practicality. Little bit of work to climb out the top is nothing compared to safety.

This is the normal position, it’s on its side when the capsule is dragged by the parachute after touchdown.

because this is the perfect position, very hard to do this.
