- This Metal Art Mermaid sculpture is made by Brutus Metal Art using only old cutlery and some scrap metal.
It’s holding a baby Seal in her arms.
Some say she is a Celtic Selkie......
All Metal Art handmade.
All parts are recycled metal.
The Mermaid is made by using TIG and MIG welding.
Some parts have been formed by forging.

That is so nice. I had to build a double headed dragon that breathed fire for owner of the shop I used to work at. It was about 10 feet tall. I also had to make a snake that breathed fire. I used to be a laser operator, so I cut a lot of discs to make the scales. I made a dragon one time and for the scales, I used a diamond shape punch at work, I made hundreds of those. I love your work and I wish that you were my neighbor. 😉😉😉😃😃😃😎 Thanks again from Wisconsin, USA.
Thanks for your story! Amazing

I am just learning welding and finding it so much fun. I love your videos, thanks for sharing. Your weld spots are so cleaned up what are you using in the tight areas to smooth?
Thanks Donna,
The small areas you can clean with a Small grinder like a Dremel, using grinding bits.
Try to make small weld’s, then you have less cleaning 😅
Nise
Thanks!
hmmm do mermaids count as fish ?
I hope so, then I’m ready :-)
Do you use .25 or .30 wire
I use 0,8 mm I think it’s. .30 wire
