She replaces Skadi, can replace Waver, replace the defensive aspect of Reines, murdered Tanamo (unless you need the skill cooldown). She offers insane NP gain, awesome arts boosting, crazy damage boosting, perfect 1 turn invul, targeted invul, removal of debuff (bye bye Jeanne) and only needs 3 star CEs such as Dragons Meridian to get started. Only reason Merlin holds his own is; healing, crit star gen, buster crit burst, and even then adding Castoria instead of double merlin is a more balanced set up (Party with 50% battery, multiple attack ups, debuffs, healing, star gen) the duo is perfect. I hope people have their Chaldea's in order, there is a new game shark prowling, lol.
Cartoria + Merlin is more "balanced", sure, but it fails at achieving the level of smooth cruising and/or Buster damage double Merlin provides. Honestly, the idea that Cartoria somehow outperforms Merlin of all people outside of farming is kind of hilarious.
Very broken, most likely. Works fairly well for farming (double Altria is better there, but whatever), and should absolutely destory CQs. With those two you have tons of hard defense, NP drain, NP spamming, heals en masse, debuff cleanse, and cooldown reduction, long before you go into the fact that Tamamo's NP damage up perfectly complements Altria's Arts and Attack up.
no she just straight up murdered all 3 arts support...and skadi is still usable if you don't have any good aoe arts dps or you love your quick memes but unless you want healing and cd reduction there's really no use for tamamo since np looping is king in the meta rn...I mean the fact that in theory you can braindead some cqs with hokusai mlb blackgrail and double castoria just prove how much she powercreeped every arts support....

"Skadi is still usable if you don't have any good arts aoe dps" I can say the same thing in vise versa if you don't have Lancelot or Dantes. of course not all arts servants are going to be viable with double Castoria 3 turning that is just an obvious fact but what if you have both Skadi and Castoria and also Dantes and a good aoe arts support who would you rather use? the card that doesn't generate as much np reaturn or the card that is made specifically for generating NP charge? honestly the only advantage double Skadi has over double Castoria is that double Skadi can generate crit stars for the 3rd turn and even with that issue if you have Casgil you don't need to worry about that anyway.
This is actually nice that we got an alternative you can now basically farm no matter who is your favorite servant to use and their card type wont matter if your favorite servant is quick then use skadi and if its arts use castoria although arts set up is now more cheaper and easier to access.In the end this is about using the servant that you like
