Awesome stuff man, thanks for breaking this all down! I always figured it was best to go "all in" with one type of damage, but it looks like a mix could be better.
Very interesting video, personally when used missiles I went full explosive, but that combo of frag/emp/explosive and shaped charge head looks so good, gonna try it and see how it works as an anti-ship missile!
You get more turn rate because the missile is slower. The slower the missile is the easier it turns. Also not sure if the recording is old, I'd swear they merged all the fragment angles to the average. You can also try out the projectiles debug mode to see how the frags and heat do damage in these impacts.
Makes lots of sense! This was recorded just before release with latest alpha update so I don't think so. Sure one can, didn't bring that up this tutorial since I find it a bit boring, but best way to compare heat and hesh for sure!
I am trying to setup my own weapons testing platform. The missiles don't work... they only do thump damage even when full of explosive or frag warheads... Any idea why that is?

For more versatile firepower you should always have a mixture :)
But sure all explosive works fine against DWG
These instant tutorials are a godsend for new players like myself, much appreciated!
Glad you like them!!!!
I think the EMP leaked through the heavy armor base plate.

Do that! Its great for large missiles :)

Because your missiles hit the target before they are armed, set Arming Delay to 0 and have the target further away, hope that helps.
@@GMODISM That is what I initially thought but warhead arming delay is 0 and the target is at 260m, Should I set it even further?
@@sebl637 Sometimes the target has to be on another object, so make target on a separate fortress, I usually have to do that.
@@GMODISM ok thanks will try that! Please keep up the short tutos, love them! I would love one on control surfaces
@@sebl637 will do!
