You're right, the "recording technique" is indeed very limited. This was recorded most probably with a mobile phone at a friendly dinner in a restaurant in Gori during months of working on Katie Melua's last album "In Winter"
In fact, the Gori Women's Choir have their own touring program apart from Katie Melua, where they usually include Georgian folk music and, most probably, this particular song too
