My mother is a medium and has a similar ability. She couldn't do it in a room full of people because she would be too confused whom spirit wants to communicate with. So I understand that Teresa might have issues finding the right person right away. I saw a Hungarian medium twice. Quite a religious woman who thanked God for her gift and we had to quietly pray with her for guidance. I understood why she charged. It was her only income since she was 68-72 then. I went in skeptical the first time. I thought it is easy to just name people randomly and everyone knows a John, Charles, Bill, etc 1. Could not pronounce the Korean name. Said it in the neighborhood but then wrote it down correctly. I was stunned. Told me to go find her (never did find her) because she wants to give you something as a thank you for when she came to America and you helped her 2. Kept saying a name I did not recognize and said, no don't know him. She paused then started naming off States he was associated with and other tell-tale things and suddenly I realized she was describing Bob (my then BF) but using his middle name. Told me, bad soul, get away from him (I should have listened as this proved right a years later) 3. Told my mother that Jane says hello. Confused my mother since Jane was alive. She said, no not your sister, your mother Jane 4. Told me about 1 coworker was very bad and don't trust her. Told me a new co-worker from another area would move in my department and I will find her not a good worker and be frustrated. Damn that worker moved to our department 2 months later and about 45 days in, I was finding her useless. Many other things too but there are charlatans out there but there are credible psychics too. Each with different talents. I have known 2 people who see ghosts whose spirits get stuck here. 1 would now and then help them move on while the other tries to pretend they don't see the but has accidentally interacted with a few. I have no idea if mediums are real. My mom went to one with a friend when she was young. The woman who was the medium told my mom that she had a Spirit near her. A man with suspenders, rolled white sleeves and some other specific details about his face and his nose shape. My mom said she wasn't sure who he was. My mom went home and told my Grandma about it and she said "that sounds like Uncle Charlie.". Uncle Charlie was my mom's uncle when she was 5 years old in Scotland. She barely remembered him with the description but the medium was on point anyway. So I think, maybe, it can be true. I'd like hope it is, somehow.

In a room full of people you will always find someone who has lost someone. Especially in a certain age group. You will always see in some faces if there was loss. And you will always get certain things right, hit someone right in the heart with what you said and if you're empathetic you will know what to say, what they need, what they wanna hear. But: It doesn't matter if mediums are real, if she really hears spirits and sees things. If it helps people to close chapters, to move on, to feel better... If it hurts noone, but heals broken hearts or helps them to heal... It is truth. And it is a gift, doesn't matter in which scenario given or not given.
Hurts nobody? You don't know what these people do after. Some may make life-changing decisions based on what they now think their departed relative wants for them. I saw a Hungarian medium twice. Quite a religious woman who thanked God for her gift and we had to quietly pray with her for guidance. I understood why she charged. It was her only income since she was 68-72 then.
I went in skeptical the first time. I thought it is easy to just name people randomly and everyone knows a John, Charles, Bill, etc
1. Could not pronounce the Korean name. Said it in the neighborhood but then wrote it down correctly. I was stunned. Told me to go find her (never did find her) because she wants to give you something as a thank you for when she came to America and you helped her
2. Kept saying a name I did not recognize and said, no don't know him. She paused then started naming off States he was associated with and other tell-tale things and suddenly I realized she was describing Bob (my then BF) but using his middle name. Told me, bad soul, get away from him (I should have listened as this proved right a years later)
3. Told my mother that Jane says hello. Confused my mother since Jane was alive. She said, no not your sister, your mother Jane
4. Told me about 1 coworker was very bad and don't trust her. Told me a new co-worker from another area would move in my department and I will find her not a good worker and be frustrated. Damn that worker moved to our department 2 months later and about 45 days in, I was finding her useless.
Many other things too but there are charlatans out there but there are credible psychics too. Each with different talents. I have known 2 people who see ghosts whose spirits get stuck here. 1 would now and then help them move on while the other tries to pretend they don't see the but has accidentally interacted with a few. (evidently stuck spirits get a bit excitable when a living person can see them)

The bible speaks about the abomination (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) of being a medium or spiritualist (necromancy). This is not of God. I believe some Christians have a prophetic gift where they can hear what God is saying, but the dead cannot speak to anyone. These are "familiar spirits" which the bible speaks of in Leviticus 19:31. These demons are familiar with the deceased person, and are masquerading as the person. Since you've said you have done this too, I want to caution you not to continue in it because you're entertaining demons and you'll end up in a bad situation that you didn't bargain for. My mom went to one with a friend when she was young. The woman who was the medium told my mom that she had a Spirit near her. A man with suspenders, rolled white sleeves and some other specific details about his face and his nose shape. My mom said she wasn't sure who he was.
My mom went home and told my Grandma about it and she said "that sounds like Uncle Charlie.". Uncle Charlie was my mom's uncle when she was 5 years old in Scotland. She barely remembered him with the description but the medium was on point anyway.
