Excellent video you both are great communicators. Through my financial experience in accounting I am glad to see you overviewing the nature of active versus passive investments and challenging the idea that all your investments have to go through a bank. A little self-education and market-tracking indexes are a solid foundation to avoid having MER fees eat away significant parts of your gains over a 30 year period. Well done!
Loving this channel, really glad I came across it. Thanks for sharing this information in a really simple way! I have a hard time understanding all of this investment stuff. It gets difficult to understand when theres so much information and advertising. Subscribed!
I am learning to invest now and these videos help a lot! I try to go with passive investments for dividend income and REITS. But I never know how to know which are “safe” it’s a worry of mine but I’m excited to learn how and get started
@@stephandden as a viewer whose primarily in the US I wanted to look at the site use for my robo portfolio, could you do a video or maybe offer an alternative company to use? I’d love to follow step by step but the one Steph uses is Canada only
Do you invest in passive investments, active investments, or a mix of both? Let us know! 👀
Based off of your videos I'll probably go for Passive first! I'm just starting out so I'm not sure whether to do ETFs or Index Funds or a mix of both!
I love you guys - this is so great. This is the type of education we need in schools.
Thanks so much 😊
I am going to start showing your videos to my kids. This stuff should be taught as life skills in school. Great video. I love your channel!
Thanks so much! 😊

If I sell a etf in my tsfa and put that money into another etf without pulling it out of the account, do I loose contribution room?
Do you think it is better to create an emergency fund first or invest and do the emergency fund at the same time?
We would build up an emergency fund first (because any emergency could happen at any time!), then start investing 😊
You should make a video for investing apps like acorns. How these apps have changed how people save and invest.
Four words low-cost index funds
Oh. I see. I get it. I understand now 🫡🎅🏿😍
