    Great charger, after so many duds from other manufacturers in this size range it's great to see one from a quality manufacturer.
    I just ordered one using your link. Cheers.

    Looks good. The only negative I can see (and I realise this is a niche problem 😊) is that the terminal voltage can only be set as low as 4.18V.
    I prefer to charge my batteries to ideally no higher than 4.10V as this significantly extends battery life whilst losing a relatively small amount of capacity.

      Just switch to LiIon which has a terminal voltage of 4.1V

      Thanks for highlighting that, and good idea Felix

    Andrew:
    This was your usual clear, expertly illustrated, & organized training video, good for novices & experts alike.
    Out of curiosity, are you still doing much SCUBA diving?

    I'd buy that neat little charger if I didn't already own ~15 chargers....😉

      @alasdair4161 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only 15? no suite of chargers is complete... until it's at least 16.

    This very full featured given the size. Great value, and stylish too!
    The wide range of input voltage (dc) and ability to regulate the output likely means this smart charger could be used with a solar panel input at the field as allows setting maximum input voltage and current. Although solar input not specifically listed in the manual. I'm thinking with a portable 50-100W panel, some sun and one could have infinite power to fly. ;)
    BTW: Noticed from the manual that SkyRC offers an companion accessory to charge any USB related gear. The "PCH-150 Power & Charging Hub".

      Good idea. A solar setup would be excellent.

    0:58 shows the USB type c port cause I had not seen that the first time when I watched it and was wondering. Still not sure if I should be happy with that or not cause I am mainly running a good old heavy and powerfull graupner Ultramat with its build in charger.
    But I guess it will become time to get one of these sooner or later and adopt. But on the other hand I feel more and more the battle for the powerfull USB Type C charger with 60W and more cause the laptop, phone, tablet and now even the hobby wants access to that device. Bought already 2 additional ones or even 3.

    This device can charge Pb 6S with a power of 100W (with a current of 8 Amperes up to a voltage of 14.6 Volts)? Is this baby overloading?

    Why You charge 3S battery to 16V???

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      16V is the input voltage, not the final charge voltage

    10:00 that was all bullshit. the physics dont add up. if thats how you made it all the letters would have to be on one of the folds or edges.
