@@j06cDuring the busy season the major asphalt plants here pay $101 day rate and $103 night rate plus fuel surcharge rates. With dirt side of things I deal directly with contractors and get paid by the ton. So pay varies with dirt. I can bring $900to $1200 a day.
Man call your folks with that BBQ rig we can fly in and chop up business I wanna learn dump truck and road side tire repair! Gotta sign up Patreon soon, appreciate what y'all do. I like pops thinking on being proactive concerning those tires on the fleet dumps.
When I started with dump truck 20 years ago . The work was good but we were in a rainy season . The semi trucks was working with no problems . Then the economy started going down and the pay went down in 2006 for dump trucks . One job was paying $38 an hour to pull liquid concrete and on the way back haul broken concrete . The dump truck world is full of crooks .
Owner Op here doing local straight body reefer in MTL, average of 5-8k a week depending of season. Home every night, lots of warehouse need good driver fo local work where im at.
Aye bro I’m out of the Dallas tx area and I have a kw with sleeper but currently have it parked due to rates being bad and I’m working for a reefer company but looking to get into the dump truck game. Tire of having to leave home 4 days out of the week. What’s the best way I can look for work ? And what kind trailer would I need ?
Oh ok thanks for the advice man and under what name or how can I look up company’s around Dallas area that I can probably hit up and get work from and get paid hourly with my own truck and trailer
What state are you in? I’m in California just starting my trucking journey. I’ve been driving dump for few months. I drive a 2014 minor Cascadia super 10.
My question is , and maybe you've covered this in aa previous video but how would I as a one man band and a single truck get work? Do i just call the gravel pits and as to get on with them? I am very seriously considering buy a Tri axle dump but I need some help with getting work before I go to the bank for a loan so i cam prove I have a legit business lined up with work available. Id love to get some serious help from you. I live in New York State near The Pennsylvania Border about 2 hours south of Buffalo.
Good question, it’s different in different areas the fastest way to find work is getting on the phone and calling prime contractors to see if they sub on trucks and i would also get out in the field and find some owner operators and ask them who they are working for even if you have to sit out side the quarry or sit at a truck stop to find people.
Me and my girl are team drivers and we drive for a company that gives us a guaranteed pay of 4k a week split. But it all goes in our joint bank account. We run hard non stop 2 months out and 2 weeks home . How much is a realistic number for owner operator teams to make a week ?
It's the Dump Truck game for me. Make my 4-5k a week and I am home every night. Plus I like being part of constructing something new.
Yessir 💯
Whats your hourly rate
