Making notes, as I am getting my new piggies this weekend. I have huge orders about to go out to Chewy and Amazon. really wish The Pig Room had liners and such in stock because I am missing those items!
Have you ever had a case when piggies wouldn’t eat orchard grass, especially if they were eating only Timothy hay before Lately Timothy hay has pretty inconsistent in quality no matter which brand and it’s a real headache to keep a decent supply of it at all times I’m trying to switch to orchard from SPS, Oxbow and from local feed store but pigs are very reluctant 😀 They also wouldn’t eat bad quality Timothy as well
I pretty much only buy orchard grass because I’m very allergic to Timothy and I haven’t had issues with pigs not eating it for the most part. Sometimes they are a bit confused at first but they all end up liking it. You could always buy smaller quantities of both and mix them together, that way they always have something if the quality is a little iffy. I also have a video on Timothy hay from Amazon brands if you need some other brands to try!

Plantain is amazing for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs. The fiber in it for their teeth & gut is amazing.
It apparently is good for preventing UTI’s for Guinea pigs too! Along with dandelion leaves!

The edging on my bathmats started coming off so I just hand sewed it back together!

Which brand of orchard grass hay is the best ?
We use Oxbow now because it’s easier to get, but I also have used Small Pet Select and it was usually fine!
