More like that 18- 2 run. Fletcher set it off early....Her intensity on both sides of the ball was what was up. Some like a fire was lit under her since them 4 minutes played against Uconn.
Got to give credit to LSU, or moreso Morris, as they closed the gap to I think 2 or 3 points. They just couldn't keep it going or stop SC. For LSU, this was a big game. For SC, it was a regular game. Another team on the schedule.
Looks like the lights was too bright for them tigers. I’m usually a humble dude but For the past month I kept hearing about upset this and upset that. And we dominated just like how we supposed to as the best team in the country. Zia hooped and is still shutting you haters up. Aliyah is like I said before the best player in the country. Kamilla is so underrated and is such a big peace to our team. I’m so happy that Brea Beal is getting the recognition she deserves. I’m happy and excited about this team moving forward. Get out of my head Sir…been saying that for 4 years. They even tried to shake her confidence I think it was her second year. She is going to blow up in the WNBA. The game is always about the bigs. I have to be honest though, Boston is dominant and unselfish, the team plays for each other and that’s what makes them great.

All the other teams they showcase their leading scorer .what that does it helps with any endorsements and also it helps their draft stock in the long run . Example dyaisia fair for Syracuse is one other leading scorers and dynamic players in the country since her freshman year is she on the radar for wnba draft top picks? Probably not but she has done well against ranked teams .I'm not taking anything away from Boston shes been awesome but so has other players

Anyone who thought LSU had a chance against South Carolina does not know basketball. The depth, maturity, and honest grit South Carolina plays with is unmatched. It has taken Dawn years to build a solid team like the one she has and now she is on the path to creating a legacy of greatness at SC. LSU, is a young team and Mulkey still has a lot of work to do, but she is off to a good start.

Almost anybody got a chance, maybe not when Zia and Saxton shoot over 40% two more girls shoot over 50% and then everybody else shoot of 60 and 70%. It's hard to beat that.

This game was over by the end of the first quarter. LSU was drained by the end of first half. S. Carolina has large roster of great players with a lot of height. It will take a red hot shooting team with some luck to beat them. S. Carolina is winning the battle in recruiting too.

Loved watching LSU getting humbled in front of 18,000 fans. LSU played real champions Sunday that dish out posterior whippings on a consistent basis. SC has brought plenty of tears to opposing locker rooms and no doubt will bring many more.

History will say that both these teams went to the Final Four. South Carolina won the SEC Regular season and Tournament Titles, but LSU - that LSU- is and will always be the 2023 National Champion! LSU scored 100 or more against cupcake cakes... and they served a 102 pt Cupcake Special to the team that beat South Carolina. It ain't over to the Fat Lady sings and the Fat Lady hadn't even showed up for rehearsal if you go by this game. What LSU did was get better throughout the season. They shot bricks, they screwed up, they choked against Tennessee, but Coach Mulkey told them to keep playing defense. They were challenged by Utah and Miami, horrible offense in the Miami game but LSU went to the Final Four confident and they decided in the 4th quarter against Virginia Tech they were going to tighten up and dictate on offense. From the 4th quarter in the seminal game, LSU scored 131 pts! Those were the Cupcake/ Play a Real Team Numbers. . But LSU danced with the Girl They Brought. And the Girl They Brought would've decimated any women's team. They kept saying don't let Iowa get 80 pts... well .. Don't let LSU get 100 pts!!! South Carolina would've got that same work .. South Carolina was 4/20 from 3pt against Iowa. LSU was 11/17..that's more bang for your buck. People underestimated LSU all year, but LSU scored the most points in the Semis and they scored the most points in the Finals. There was an SEC team that played for the National Title (and it wasn't South Carolina)... and the 2023 NCAA Champion hails from the SEC (and it wasn't South Carolina) The 2023 NCAA National Champion is LSU. That LSU!

Nah. I’m not a super fan of either team (Lady Vols fan), but I think Reese had subpar game but to me she is better than Boston. More athletic and her skillset is deeper. Aliya has a more consistent jumper. Also Caitlin Clark should get National Player of The Year, but if anybody gets it on the South Carolina team it should be Zia Cooke. Also Zia Cooke or Angel Reese should be SEC Player of the Year.

South Carolina isn't the first team to have big girls. Kim Mulkey had Kalama Brown and Lauren Cox at Baylor, 6-7 and 6-5...so they would've matched up well with Cardoso and Boston. Plus Griner is 6-9 and played at Baylor. Teams have always coveted big players and will continue to do so, but South Carolina isn't the first team to have a big frontline.

Finally, Zia Cooke 7-15 in a big game! If she shoots at this level, SC will be undefeated; If she shoots 2-19 SC will be vulnerable to defeat.

One player can’t make a team lose, well at least a team like SC. They have too much talent
@@mimisowavyent768 - Yeah, and one non-performing part on your car can't make your car stop, because your car has too many other talented parts, lol. Your outlook is naive. All your key car parts have to do their job for your car to work and all the key players have to do their job for the team to win the championship.
What you are talking about applies when SC plays non-top teams...against non-top teams, Cooke can shoot 2-19 and SC will still win by 30 because SC still has overwhelming talent against a non-top team. But let Cooke shoot 2-19 against teams like Indiana, Iowa or Stanford in the Final playoff rounds and see what happens. Indiana and Iowa got top talent too, and can light it up from the perimeter better than SC. Stanford also shoots better from the perimeter and can match SC's height and rebounding inside the paint.
Against top teams, the margin for error or poor performance is far less. Cooke is SC's best designated outside shooter and she routinely takes more shots per game than any other player...if she doesn't show up when the heat is on against the top teams, SC will be in danger of losing - they might still squeak it out (like they did against Stanford early in the season)- but they will be in danger of losing. On the other hand, if Cooke shows up and shoots 40-50% from the field against the top teams, SC will be unbeatable. Everybody else on SC is dependable at doing their designated job, game in and game out; Cooke is the wild card who is up and down and the championship will ride on if she makes the open shots that defensive attention to Boston and Cordoso will give her. Its that simple.

29 shots by Morris. More than the entire LSU team! Reese took 15 shots. Morris is a guard, her shot to assist ratio is 29 to 0. What are you watching. This is not streetball, it is Division 1. LSU HAD 5 assists. All 5 were by forwards. No guard had an assist. Not going to win without distributing the ball. Night night, stay safe.

They'll play again this year. South Carolina is damn good and LSU needs a new strategy. The good thing is you only have to beat them once, you don't have to win a series against them. Flau Jae is way better, but give South Carolina credit. Zia Cooke would be a helluva football player! And I mean that as a compliment. She's damn good at basketball

exactly what I said! Uconn is my team and we lost by less than 10. All this game did was expose LSU. Angel seemed scared and off her game. Morris was the only one making it happen for LSU and she couldnt pull off the win alone. LSU needed to step up.

So, if you attend games, and have the app you might want to check it to see if a free sandwich is there.
My wife and those sitting around us have gotten sandwiches from every game so this year, I believe.

It will definitely be more challenging when this class graduates. Greatest class in program history in Cooke, Boston, and Beal. There is a reason these 3 will go in the history books for SC for most games started along with Ty Harris etc. With that said, we will have a bunch of Mcdonald All-Americans to become starters so we will still be contenting for conference titles and then some, especially if Cardoso comes back.

LSU is the 2023 NCAA Champion. UConn will be good next year but LSU and South Carolina won't go anywhere. LSU has the #1 recruiting class and South Carolina had good players that didn't even get to play because of all the talent and their recruits (Milaysia Fulwiley in particular) will keep South Carolina in top 5. Caitlin Clark will continue to lead Iowa and Womens Basketball is about to get even more competitive and exciting. They're going to start showing womens ball on National TV regularly, not ESPN, but the major networks on weekends and prime time. That's a big win for the sport
