Every Sunday I wonder why I am watching this channel. What is your magic? I am an elderly woman living in Austria, making crochet granny squares with no knowledge of farming or machinery, but every Sunday I follow this farming family through trials and tribulations , rainy days, stormy days, and sunny days. I wanted to see a cottage being renovated but I have stayed to see the magic unfold. Blessings on your family

Great machine you are saving your back on chainsaw use and blades plus utilising nature. There were some people after the storms couldn’t go anywhere in their super duper EVs and their heat pumps were also out over a week or so with out electric- power lines down etc.

I was not at all expecting it to spit out logs! Nice and even equal length logs at that! I was only expecting to see chipped wood. What a fantastic bit of kit that is! That storm was terrible, but it seems to have brought you some luck! A wall you had mentioned would need fixing got knocked down, thus making you deal with it come the summer and a PTO driven generator that will do more than just deal with emergencies and now this! They that every dark cloud has a silver lining.

Great video and a great review of the wood processor. That is how reviews should be in my book. Everything from unpacking, wiring up the soket, cutting the PTO shaft and greasing before use. A great bit of kit and a real time saver, plus a lot safer and easier than a chainsaw. It would be great to see it working in the field, when you can get on the land without sinking! Keep up the great content.

Hi. I think if you used potato boxes to collect the sticks coming out off the machine would speed up production.
If you have enough boxes you could keep the firewood in them until it seasons and you need it. Should be no problem moving them around with the loader on the tractor.

I should have asked that question, I’ll find out for the next time we’re using it. It definitely doesn’t take much to drive it

Personally my fault with these machines is that they only take relatively small timber. With ash die-back I'd love to be able to rent a machine that you could put 3 foot diameter timber into

It’s not bad at 6” ash which is a hard wood. Think a chainsaw would always be the right tool for anything bigger than

Great video and a great machine no doubt, but I have an issue with this new rule of not being allowed to burn the branches of trees etc, 'green waste' as they call it.
in my opinion it's a nonsense idea.
The reason I think that is that I am allowed burn the wood from the tree in the house but I can't burn the branches outside?
In my case I have to drive 50 miles to hire a woodchipper that runs on petrol or diesel, how is that good for the environment?
I'm all for protecting nature as most farmers are but this is such a stupid rule to add to many others dreamed up in offices somewhere.
I'd like to hear some opinions on it, thanks.
