I’ve done a very similar thing with mine. I triggered the fan from the flush solenoid with a timer that keeps the fan running for 15-20 mins. Works great BUT you need to have a seal (I used sticky back foam) on the port that mates to the cassette. Without that the air won’t pull through cassette it get sucked in through the gap.
Hi
I have done the same as yourself but my fans 3 of now keep failing I have used brushless type fans
Can you post the of the two components please,so i can have a look too..great idea 👍👍👍
All you need is a 12v 50mm fan and a reed switch (Normally Closed). Jaycar can sit you out.

Do you have product information please..seems very well looked at...👍👍
Any chance you detail how you mounted the switch?
Where is the flush tank located?
This toilet is connected to the van mains. No flush tank.
