I realize this is all personal taste and preferences. And -- for those of us who appear 6 months pregnant but aren't -- I find these oversized t-shirts just make me look even larger than I already am. Tucking anything into a waistband, (again, for those without a slender waist), only draws even more attention to the large belly. If you've never done a video with styling tips for those with larger tummies -- I 100% believe it would go viral. There are a lot of us, over 50 women, post-menopausal, who were skinny all our lives, and then the hormones stop and bam, we gain 15-20 pounds in the tummy area (even while reducing our calories! Ugh. It's so frustrating.) But we still want to look hip and fashionable! What can we wear that doesn't scream "LOOK AT MY FAT BELLY!"? Would love that video (and get a faux pregnant belly to wear when you make it so you can see what we mean.) New subscriber, love your content and style!
Yep, the post menopause belly is such a headache. I can't do an oversized top without looking pregnant. And I can't do the current oversize loose jeans trend, either. ☹️
Thanks for another great styling video. I have a trick to add for all of your viewers that may have bigger boobs. The line from the end of the oversized T-shirt sleeve usually falls just above the elbow and emphasizes a larger bust line by creating a visual horizontal line right across the bust. To prevent this roll up the sleeve and the line disappears. And using one of the tuck tricks presented here prevents the Tshirt from just hanging from your boobs and making you look bigger than you are. We of the bigger boob camp have a hard time getting the oversized Tshirts to look good. 😑 Thanks again Emily! And your newsletter is great! ☺
Hi! I've got a few oversized tees which I bought with layering in mind but on a hot day they're nice and airy on their own. Like you, I have a thing about neckerchiefs and have a few snoods which give a flattering cowl neckline look. I believe a snood in the US is more usually called an infinity scarf. As always, thank you for the video! 👍🙂
Another great video! I have a question regarding "oversized." I wear a woman's medium. In a men's tee, I also wear a medium to make it a little oversized and get that squared-off silhouette. How do you choose to make a tee shirt oversized? Women's boyfriend shirts are few and far between. Thank you!
Love this video thank you! I'd love to know if you have any recommendations for online shops with graphic T's that are ethically made with high quality cotton?
I’m having trouble finding shirts like this, particularly ones where the sleeves come closer down to the elbow area. So not into really short sleeved t shirts that are snug up there. If anyone knows brands that carry this sleeve length please share!! ESP in quality natural fabrics.
Oh! I never knew about the twist before the tuck!

Rolling the sleeves up once or twice makes a big difference too

Thanks for a great video. I liked the twist and tuck version the best. I love tee shirts as well, and I wear them all of the time.
Mens t shirts are usually longer. I wear mine as nighties then have breakfast and do gardening. LOL
