One of the most underappreciated songs of Avril Lavigne! Good melody, simple but relalable lyrics and such kindness in the vocals! Thank you so much dear Avril ❤
If you have listened to Avril Lavigne's song in the first years, and you still listen to it sometimes because you want to, it means you lived the best years in this world at the height of your youth.
This song is really a small masterpiece of old Avril. One of the most undervalued and unfortunately unknown tracks. I had forgotten this wonderful song. Let go is really her best album, an indelible symbol of the 2000s, which went away too soon.
Let go is a very underrated album considering it sold so well back when it released. Such a shame as it carries some of her best songs such as this one
Dreams do come true When I was 13 I listened to this album so much I broke the cd. Yes, it's possible. Haha. I'd listen to this song amoung others like 'naked' on this album and dream. Dream of having a family, husband, living in a big house, everything. Family. The one thing I wanted more Than anything. I'd listen to this album when I'd go apple picking with my mother. Every october. I'd stare out the window hoping I'd find "him" one day. I'd listen to this in my cd player and just dream Fast forward and I am 29 now. Its october. Another year of playing this album. listening to this next to my husband, family and now have all I ever dreamed of. Dreams do come true. Ty avril. For the memories and meanings.

It’s amazing how I am 30 years old and have consistently listened to her albums since I heard complicated. She got me through absolutely everything I’ve been through thus far and I will never stop being a super fan!
This was one of my favorite Avril songs for years and I was FLOORED when I heard it in "The Last of Us," and almost started crying when I realized how well it fits the story lol
That third hey yeah yeah, hey yeah yeah, I’m not ready from Avril always gets me in my feels. It really grips the soul. Her voice is just so powerful and emotive. Not to mention the guitar at 3:12 and Avril just sounding so resined when she sings, it’s beauty you can’t fake on a song. You don’t know whether to cry or give her a big hug because we’ve all been there before. But just remember like the lyrics say, tomorrow is a different day. Stay safe everyone. ❤
I miss her.. i wish i would've appreciate her more when i was younger in early 2000s i really appreciate her Under my skin album. + many songs of let go. She were even then 100x better and talented + legit than any female Pop/Indie/punk singers today or past 15 years or songs... she really has perfect tone ear at least in my ears. I wouldn't change a tone which is rare. Perfect pitch. Music is ok many of her songs but without her music tone ear vocals it would never be perfect like her tones are. She and Alanis Morrisette is 2 pitch perfect voice/tone 1990s-2000s present to this day!
What ? Her last album is amazing, Head Above Water is amazing, I don't know what you thinking, i'm not even her big fan but still can hear the awesome things inside that album, but you, a real Avril fan, can't ?
If I were a famous musician, i would say that this was the first song i learned how to play on guitar (it really was). And i would convert "my fans" into Avril Lavigne fans. And she would stop being underrated as she is. She is amaziiing. She deserves so much more recognition as in the beginning of her carrer. True artist. Love heeeer
Just listening to this album is bringing back so much nostalgia I just wanna cry.. back when life was simple. It gave me a memory of a friend of mine we were in the girls bathroom at school I remember she was crying because some girl said she couldn't put eyeliner on right.. well I told her that girl was just jealous cause her parents wouldn't let her wear it to school and I fixed it for her. We were in the 5th grade at that time. Damn I wanna go back in time
this was my song that I listened to and cried non stop when my ex who I thought was the love of my life asked me to divorce......tears never ending...so happy I'm not there now because it was unbearable and painful. I thank the man above for the gift of time and healing.
This reminders me so much my childhood... A 10 years old girl, with her red mp3 player, white earphones, looking at the car's window imagining myself in a music video hahaha what a nostalgic memorie 🧡
I was 5th grade when I first heard of this song and it was my favorite one from the album. I can feel she is strong but she is sad 😔 at the same time. No matter what happened today, tomorrow will be different. When I feel alone I will hug myself and tell myself to believe everything will be okay!
I have endometriosis. I suffered in pain for three years prior to being diagnosed. I had about 6 or 7 months of relief. The pain has returned. I used to listen to this song often in college whenever someone broke my heart. I’m surrounded by women easily getting pregnant and having children. On top of everything else, my son is special needs and I’m his only advocate. He thanks me by hitting me and scratching me. I was abused for two decades my by parents. I don’t know how much more hell I can take. I feel like I’m not enough for anyone in this world. My husband doesn’t see me. My son doesn’t see me. I’m all alone.
*[Lyrics of "Tomorrow" with Avril Lavigne]* [Verse 1] And I wanna believe you When you tell me that it'll be okay Yeah, I try to believe you But I don't When you say that it's gonna be It always turns out to be a different way I try to believe you Not today, today, today, today, today [Chorus] (I, yeah, yeah, yeah) I don't know how I'll feel (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Tomorrow (Tomorrow), tomorrow (Tomorrow) And I (Yeah, yeah, yeah) Don't know what to say (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Tomorrow (Tomorrow) Tomorrow is a different day [Verse 2] (Tomorrow) It's always been up to you It's turnin' around, it's up to me I'm gonna do what I have to do Just don't Gimme a little time Leave me alone a little while Maybe it's not too late Not today, today, today, today, today, oh [Chorus] (I, yeah, yeah, yeah) I don't know how I'll feel (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Tomorrow (Tomorrow), tomorrow (Tomorrow) And I (Yeah, yeah, yeah) Don't know what to say (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Tomorrow (Tomorrow) Tomorrow is a different day [Bridge] Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah And I know I'm not ready Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah Maybe tomorrow Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I'm not ready Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah Maybe tomorrow [Verse 3] And I wanna believe you When you tell me that it'll be okay Yeah, I try to believe you Not today, today, today, today, today [Outro] Tomorrow, it may change Tomorrow, it may change Tomorrow, it may change Tomorrow, it may change
Interesting thing about this song that not many people notice - she doesn't sing in the little sing-song girlie voice she affects for much of her early stuff, it's a clearer, stronger, more real version (nicely complimented by the girlie "yeah yeah yeah"s in the backing). Also, I like how the song drives on and has a good pace throughout, beyond the intro there's no drop off in volume, instrumentation or tempo, it keeps all the emphasis firmly on the vocals. And just gotta say, I've obsessed over that snare sound since I first heard this track! Over 20 years later and still one of my faves.
First few notes on the background of breakfast scene got me 👀 and damn it somehow worked with the events of the rest of the episode of The Last of Us. Whoever's coming up with the show's tracks has got some seriously good taste in music.
It's been a while since I've listened to this, had to come listen to it after hearing it a bunch of times in that scene in The Last of Us ep 1 and all the reactions of that episode that I watched
I really hope Avril does something special with this album for the 20th anniversary coming this summer in June, this album deserves it. Maybe a high production studio session where the band plays the entire album on video, pretty much exactly what Papa Roach did in 2020 with their Infest 20th anniversary, after watching that it makes me wish 100's of bands would do the same thing, the live videos ended up sounding better than the original album.

LYRICS
And I want to believe you
When you tell me that it'll be okay
Yeah, I try to believe you
But I don't
When you say that it's gonna be
It always turns out to be a different way
I try to believe you
Not today, today, today, today, today
I don't know how I'll feel
Tomorrow, tomorrow (tomorrow, tomorrow)
I don't know what to say
Tomorrow, tomorrow (tomorrow, tomorrow)
Is a different day
(Tomorrow)
It's always been up to you
It's turning around
It's up to me
I'm gonna do what I have to do
Just don't
Give me a little time
Leave me alone a little while
Maybe it's not too late
Not today, today, today, today, today
I don't know how I'll feel
Tomorrow, tomorrow (tomorrow, tomorrow)
I don't know what to say
Tomorrow, tomorrow (tomorrow, tomorrow)
Is a different day
Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah, and I know I'm not ready
Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah, maybe tomorrow
Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah, I'm not ready
Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah, maybe tomorrow
And I want to believe you
When you tell me that it'll be okay

First few notes on the background of breakfast scene got me 👀 and damn it somehow worked with the events of the rest of the episode of The Last of Us. Whoever's coming up with the show's tracks has got some seriously good taste in music.
The Last of Us❤ cuando escuche este temazo 🥺❤ volvi a esa epoca
Completely describes Avril Lavigne genre. One of my favourite tracks.
Avril you never knew that you brought us together the memories and everything on your songs
My favorite Avril song ever with I’m With You a close 2nd.
It's been a while since I've listened to this, had to come listen to it after hearing it a bunch of times in that scene in The Last of Us ep 1 and all the reactions of that episode that I watched
AVRIL ROCKS!!!!!!!!❤
36 and still crying to this one...Avril's best
Oh God,.. the time so fast to let me,. Thanks avril,. U're in my heart ever..
