PEOPLE JESUS IS SO REAL as a Christian I have felt him touch my heart and relieve me of pain and misery. There will be sometimes you gonna doubt. Like Jesus said there will be a time when you will believe in me and there will be a time where you won't. We as Christians need each other. So let's pray for one another and build each other up when things get rough may God fill all of your hearts with the Holy Spirit.

I have been having a big problem with a friend of mine whose pastor says baptism is just a symbol and is not necessary. I don't want my friend to miss out on the Wonderful Love of God through Jesus Christ and the Companionship of the Holy Spirit. This is without a doubt the best definition for the Sacrament of Baptism I have ever heard. Just want to say a thank you for producing this video. It has helped people who are baptized as an infant understand why they need to choose to be baptized as an adult. There is nothing wrong with parents choosing to baptize their children AND nothing wrong with someone as an adult affirming the desires that their parents made for them long ago.

I just gave my life to Jesus! I do not mean literally giving my life. I mean showing that they own me and I will do anything. It was truly a great experience for me and I highly recommend you do it. My whole church cheered and it felt amazing when the Holy Spirit entered me.

Attended a bible camp for the first time this past weekend, I'm not someone who grew up with a religious family and I didnt grow up in a church, but I know I've always believed in God. I have struggled alot in this life and have been fighting desperately to have a relationship with Jesus, however I have always found myself doubting and worrying that I wasnt good enough. This past weekend inspired me to pursue Him with everything I have. Interestingly enough, I went down to the lake with friends this weekend with the intention of going out on the water in a paddle boat or canoe, but my friends instead decided to climb a platform so they could jump into the freezing water instead. (Yes its freezing, this particular camp is in Alaska and it is October... you could actually die if you stay in the water too long haha). I had zero intention of jumping in, I hate the feeling of falling, it freaks me out, and I also hate the cold. Suddenly though, while looking out at the lake and the mountains around us I had the overwhelming urge to do it, I was so thankful for this life and how beautiful this world He made for us is. A friend told another who was terrified of jumping to "take a leap of faith" and go for it, and that got to me. So, fully clothed, I went up to the platform and leaped. I felt the presence of God so strongly in my heart when jumped, and the moment I surfaced the first thing that he put in my mind is that it was time to get baptized. It all happened very fast but that feeling was so strong. I am very excited to move forward with my relationship with Him and to see where He takes me in life. I cant explain how happy I am knowing I can trust in him :D

I backed out of Baptism....when I was about to be the pastor was saying things like do you dislike your sins and I replied with yes and then he said do you hate your wickedness and I said yes again but then he said are you ready to be born to and I cant remember wait came next cause I ran out on it.....I mean come on a dunk in the water some of this other stuff.....
In Greece children are usually baptism before the age of 1 .
I actually love this video, it's helped so much with the questions I've had about getting baptised in 3days! But I don't think Baptism is the way to heaven, Jesus is the way to heaven, baptism is just how we show people that we love him and telling him that we're serious about him. "Pick up your cross daily and follow me", Jesus was baptised in water and THEN the holy spirit descended upon him as a dove and the voice of God called him his son. Do as your master. Be baptised when you are old enough to truly understand your choice.

Baptism is so unnecessary and hypocritical, because you'll still commit sin either way. Why not get baptize at an elderly age or when you know you'll die in a certain time? In real life no one is loyal to anyone and anything. After committing a sin and knowing that you just got baptized, you'll pray so you can go back to be forgiven again or just get baptize again to start over lol

H!!!E!!!N!!!R!!!Y! ™ Baptism doesn't forgive sins. Jesus does. And nowhere in the video did the narrator claim otherwise. Baptism is supposed to be an experience in the Christian journey; that's literally all the narrator claimed.
Being baptized does not mean you will never sin again. And when you do (because we all sin) you don't just get dunked every time to fix it again. You turn to Christ. And you try honestly to do better.

Scripture to back up Acts 2:38-39. Acts 4:12, Luke 24: 47-49, John 3:3-6,Acts 8:15-17, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 19:1-6. Think on this, these were the Acts of the Apostle. They baptized according to what Jesus taught them. And God is no liar but is pure in all things, so I encourage you to trust in Jesus and what he taught his twelve apostles. Im being baptized in 2 and a half hours.
I understand the purpose and commitments for those being baptized as an adult or, at least a child or older who understands? But I am more familiar with babies being baptized. Since babies are not believers and have no cognitive abilities, then what is the purpose or rationale to baptize at this stage? I have always felt that this washed away original sin, which would make sense for infants.

I agree that baptism is symbolic. The teaching known as "baptismal regeneration" is not Biblical. I believe Christ is the one who saves, and him alone. However, I know from Scriptures that Christ expects me to be obedient. I see baptism in the Bible, and it looks like it is commanded of us. I am not saying whither or not it is necessary upon salvation. But it seems that baptism is an act of obedience. God does care if I obey Him. I would encourage any Christian who has not been baptized as Ananias told Paul "What are you waiting for? get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name." I believe God wants all to be baptized real soon after salvation, if not on the same day as exampled for us often in the Bible.
Disciples were baptized into Christ after he had died, raised, and returned to heaven, when the kingdom (church) began in Acts 2. Baptism is the participation with Jesus' burial and resurrection to a new life as a Christian (Col 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead). Therefore, when the thief was saved, Jesus had not been buried or raised yet so it did not apply.
Praise the Name Jesus Christ! Acts 2:38 is the only way!!!

I don't want to belong to somebody who doesn't love me, even though so many people say He does. The people that tell me that, they just say that because they want me to feel better. It's not true. I'm not going to give my life to someone who lets me suffer so much. God is real, but He doesn't care about me.

wow, it's not often i see churches with such a profound understanding of baptism. The only real problem I have is that you did not mention baptism in the name of Jesus. Yea in some of the gospels it says "father, son and holy spirit" but you must understand the these are titles not names and all throughout Acts the apostles only baptized in the name of Jesus. Act 4:12 ...for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Why wait to be baptized, do it today. Because the Bible says that mans life is just a vapor and tomorrow is not promised. Don't wait, receive eternal life today.

The Apostles preached about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
Repentance, baptism in His Name, and the gift of the Holy Spirit are how we apply this to ourselves.
Repentance = death to self.
Immersion in water in His Name = burial with Christ.
Gift of the Holy Spirit = new life.
Read and obey Acts 2:38 if you want to be saved.

Did you look closely at Mark 16:16? Jesus said...He that believes AND IS baptized shall be saved. a non believer wouldn't be baptized, see Jesus is saying that He wants people to believe and be baptized. there are two things a person must do, "believe and be baptized to be saved" and only one thing to be lost or condemned, and that is just don't believe.

And second thought, you say that Baptism isn't the way to heaven, well Jesus is the way to heaven and Jesus says what we must do to be saved and since baptism is part of that and you want to go to heaven, then being baptized for the remission of sins is essential. And to do it the way Jesus says to do it. Believe AND be baptized
