That's some fantastic video quality! I really have trouble to decide which HD-recording-device (compact digital or camcorder) I should buy. For this model someone said there would be some annoying ambient noise level from the microphone and even by using an external one the noise is the same. iggyguam, can you verify this? An answer is highly appreciated!
@JohnnyJohnJoe yes. this camera can take 1080p (60fps). i just use 720p in most of the movies since the file size and my computer is so slow. lol. (and will take forever to upload if it is 1080p)
@deurkl The stabilization is not best. the battery and the size is very compact which you can carry everyday. i use this camera as travel camera. this takes a good still, too.

(you can reduce the noise by setting) Can you check other my trip movie such as "Yasaka Jinjya in Kyoto (Sanyo Xacti 2000)"? I don't hear any annoying noise.... uhmmmm.... im not really picky on the sound though........
Hi, ShinzonY, Hahahaha....... no earthquake. I only have this camcorder so i cannot compare. Maybe it is just the poor stabilization. Very handy though.....

The format is MP4 which is good for mac computer. after the Windows 7, this video format can be played by Windows Media Player, too.

Sanyo 1010 has the half HD 60p mode which 2000 does'nt. So, I think Sanyo 1010 is also very good camera. same compact design. LOVE it.
I've had one too, i loved all about it but the image stabilizer and that it kept going out of focus sometimes.. got a legria hf200 now!
