Hey! It can be great that you make a modpack in Curseforge (the download of every mod counts) on that you put all the mods that you think can improve Cobblemon experience (Exploration, Pokemon trainers, gyms, rewards) you can make my life so much easier. I hope you can make it!
Be warned-I believe that the latest version of Legendary Encounters does not function on the current version of Cobblemon, as it was created pre-1.20.1. It will spawn structures, but Lergendary spawning is broken, as far as I can tell.
The one I featured in the video was "Cobblemon: Legendary Structures" which was updated after Cobblemon 1.5 (Minecraft 1.20.1) released. On the other hand, "Legendary Encounters" is a separate mod which, yes, is actually still stuck in Cobblemon 1.3 I think.
If you want to add mods* to Minecraft you need to download curse forge on your computer and then you create a modpack( name it and set version, keeps the player on forge) then click on it and for to add content and look up the title of the mod and click on the orange add button
This is good advice if they need to install mods. But datapacks are different from mods. If you need to install datapacks, you need to go to "saves/[World Name]/datapacks" and manually place the files there
srry if this is a silly question but how would I install these? its been a while since Ive added mods on my own since playing with just modpacks. lets say I wanted to add them to a mod pack how would I do it?
For datapacks, you just need to put the files in saves/World_Name/datapacks. For mods, that would depend on the launcher you're using. Are you using any specific launchers?
quick question, if i already made a world and then add those mod, it will work? since the world is already generated can it generate new chest loot, or village for example?
I think it will still work but only for ungenerated chunks. Those already generated will stay the same. If you really want, there are some tools to remove generated chunks so they can generate again.
I'm not sure, I play on Fabric, where I can't use Biomes O Plenty with Cobblemon, but I assume it should still work but you might want to do some testing.
What happens if I have already started a Server and add mods that add new buildings or structures. Does that work since the world has already been generated before?
From my understanding it would still work but only for chunks that haven't been generated yet. So you'd need to travel outside of the areas you've been to

It used to be PokeNests, now renamed to CobbleNests. Download the one saying "pokenests_v2.0_1.20.zip". The latest message in the Discord with only 5 nests is just a file the creator made for testing purposes only.

i cant seem to get the skins to work. I put them as a server resource pack download and even tried it with my own resource pack but its bugged and the villagers aren't rendered correctly. any suggestions?
I think the dependencies for the skin pack are: - [ETF] Entity Texture Features - [EMF] Entity Model Features Try installing these mods then try again!

place it in the "resourcepacks" folder. Then In Minecraft, click on "Options", then "Resource Packs" then activate the CobbleTown Skin Pack. (For Fabric) Make sure to also install: - [ETF] Entity Texture Features - [EMF] Entity Model Features (For Forge) Make sure to also install: -Optifine
@@jonathanplayroom The villages don't seem to have changed, I don't know how rare it is to find a pokemon village but I haven't found any yet. Same thing happens with the loots mods, idk how rare the pokeballs are to find but the only pokemon loot I find are plushies (and a Link Cable once)

Some of these mods aren't on curseforge though. Or at least i cant find them.
Genuinely good suggestions for melding mc with cobblemon, adding that extra step of immersion

On Forge, you need Optifine, on Fabric, you need Entity Texture Features and Entity Models Feature
