I tried to use my new cs 2000 today for the first time and struggled with assembling it. I then used it a bit and then lo and behold the chain comes off! That was after getting stuck in a branch and it took me ages to get it loose. I haven't owned a chainsaw in years and I am more or less a beginner. I will try again tomorrow.

This saw by this time has cut down more trees than any petrol saw I ever had and is still going strong the only thing that happened to it is the oil cap cracked after a long period of use but I'm sure it's replaceable.

Most dangerous thing to do with a chainsaw is to let the front end of the blade touch anything... It's called kickback and is the number one cause of fatalities with chainsaw accidents. If you are going to do this in a video... especially when you start it up, let people know not to do this...

Thanks for the advice. I would never let the front end of the chainsaw touch anything. What do you saw there might have looked like me touching the tree but it was dust flying from the old tree. I was just making sure that the chain is getting oil and I was looking for oil spraying on the tree. Lowe's chainsaw sculptures must be crazy cuz they only use the front part of the saw for most of their work. Thanks again for the good advice and stay safe.

Thanks. The book say only to be aware of kickback in the top quadrant of the front. "Kickback occurs when the moving saw chain in the upper quadrant of the bar nose (kickback
zone) contacts a solid object or is pinched. A rotational force on the chainsaw, in a
direction opposite to the chain movement, is caused. This may kick the guide bar up and back
or sideways in a sudden, uncontrolled arc. It is most common during debranching"

🤣 it's holding up very well. The oil cap cracked at the top but probably because I over tightened it. I am sure they would have replaced it under warranty but I just used duct tape. The blade got blunt and I had to sharpen it but that's just maintenance. Very happy with it. Just last week I had to cut down a massive tree again and everybody watching was amazed with the saws performance.
