Read my comment. My associates degree RN serves me very very well, 30 years later. No regrets. Wouldn’t get paid more with a Bachelors so why? You can easily make over six figures with a 2 yr degree. Nursing shortage is critical and getting worse. The world is our oyster.
Aloha! Stumbled on you, in a rabbit hole. Good for you getting your RN! I have been an RN with an associates degree for 30 years. Found no reason to get my Bachelors. I live in Hawai’i (transferred with the feds a few years ago to be closer to ohana). I have been a prison nurse, flight nurse, ER nurse, PACU nurse. Never been a travel nurse. Highly recommend working for the feds. Best salary and benefits and longetivity. Dept of Defense is where it’s at, work for the military as a civilian. Your two year degree is the best return on investment ever because it is easy to make six figures!
@@DapperDonzX make the same regardless of ADN or BSN. For most part. Sure there are some facilities that pay a little extra for BSN. But not many. Remember, we are in a nursing crisis. Many baby boomers have or are retiring. Hospitals are short staffed. People are not going into nursing like they were in past. I have done very well with my ADN and have just a few more years before I retire.
Very competitive when it’s time to apply btw, if they say sciences you need a B, you wanna get and A honestly. Probably a point system, well at least at GSU it was. HRH’s higher your grades the better. Also look for a backup program to apply to when it’s that time, most will transfer in your pre nursing classes.

I think siu offers a one week Basic training to start sailing entry level. I'm almost finished with the apprentice program and while the end result is gonna be worth it with my AB, it has been tough not making money for so long. I would call the admissions at piney point and ask about the week long BT, or contact a union hall near you and they'll walk you through the process to get on a ship as quick as possible.

aye bruh, i used to watch all your vids junior year and senior yr, im 19 now and decided not to do this for thinking about it for a long time, going to be an electrician instead. Easier on your body, jobs readily available, overall good for me. I appreciate this channel tho
For SiU how long does your vacation last and is it possible for you to do a full year straight? I really don’t wanna do vacation for longer then 2 months I wanna sail for 8 months and do 2 months and I’ll be good.
Yes you can when on vacation. I used to live in Bali when on vacation. My money lasted way longer. That's why it was good to have a permanent job in SIU. It means you go on the same ship on a regular rotation.

Probably would’ve started as a C book from knowing what I know now .. the most I’ve saved in a 4 month span is 36k
