It doesn't matter how many signs you put up prohibiting right turns. They are completely useless if truck drivers straight up ignore them. They really need to rebuild the area the signals are on and add protective barriers to keep trucks from damaging the signals.
Nice series of videos! If Sacramento and Caltrans aren't going to try to fix the intersection, I still wish that SACRT would at least replace the US&S E-Bell with another Siemens High Pitch E-Bell and change the bell sequence to ring until the gate rises, so that the crossing sounds like how it did in 2021.

Is there a way the city can widen and extend S st from 34th st to 35 st so vehicles don't get tempted to make illegal right turns crossing two tracks each? A few times while I'm on the train I see cars being offsides crossing over the big white line not only on the Stockton Blvd/34th St but also on the HWY 16/Folsom Blvd before the train arrives thus the train operator has to sound its horns. One problem got solved over a decade or so ago with the South Watt Ave having to create a overhead rail crossing. But I don't know if it has to take more future accidents to cause another overhead crossing to be built in the future thus wasting city money. What are your solutions?
The newer signal at that corner has both a GS Type 3 and US&S E-Bells that shut off when the gate is lowered while the rest of the bells keep ringing till the gates start rising. The US&S E-Bell doesn't work however right now. Might work again when we get warmer weather.

Goodness why are people still taking that illegal right turn
I agree 😮💨🤦
For real!!! That was ballsy to make that turn!!!
Do some of the bells shut off after the gates lower?

5:45 Oh my god, seriously dude!? I seriously hope they're not hiring truckers based on DEI. Merit is strongly needed for driving such a large vehicle.
5:24 A Swift Truck Driving Through Railroad Crossings
Well that was a close one... 6:03
and the sign said no right turn
The truck drivers have to be punished by cops somehow
Why these people never learn
It would have been simple enough to put a sign saying all right turn traffic must use r st
They do far back behind me on 34th Street but everyone ignores it. They should put a height restrictive barrier and close this being a truck route.
Ah no, not again 😠👎😤
Woooooow
Bonehead trucker doing what a bonehead does best it seems, great video though!
