A bit off topic……but there used to a spot on north side of lax about right at the touch down point where a person could actually park and watch planes come and go. Does anyone know if that spot is still available

How long ago? The Airplane Landing View Point, which is a small park outside the In-n-Out, affords a good view of 24R.

@flapsnslats oh this was in the early 80s when I use to do it. Liked night landings the most. Something about watching that string of landing lights. Think I counted up to 15 in a row once. Nice sight

This is a great video! I like how Jetblue painted the inside of the engine black and green. If you pause it at exactly 3:39 you'll see the famous In-N-Out burger right beside the engine.
