The funniest thing about Furlong for me is that despite arguably being the most verbally vile person on the show (quite the accomplishment, given the competition) he's also bizarrely one of the ones with the most integrity. Or, at the very least, the most political consistency.
It's funny how Will seemed to become increasingly committed to Furlongs burns as the show progressed. He even was too invested in the penultimate scene - so Furlong needed to stop him :D
My theory is that Will is in on the joke and makes up his responses on the fly himself. They’ve been working together so long and are so in-sync that they both make it look natural.
I think its nice that furlong wheels him around at the end, it shows he always liked and cared about Will in his own way, even if he’s borderlines verbally abusive lmao its why he kept him around his whole career
