      Not necessarily, but if you prefer it that way, you can beat until it's creamy. Texture will be even fluffier and lighter.

    Cake without baking soda is possible ah sis

    • @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj
      @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is possible. But I won't say the texture of the cake will be as great as the cake with baking soda added. If you don't wanna use baking soda then the eggs can be treated as the leavening agent (incorporate more air into the egg by continuous and heavy beating), I won't say you'll get the best output but a decent one.

      U should reduce temperature. 170 c or 175 c enough. just reduce temperature and maximize cooking time

    • @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj
      @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always centre part takes more time to bake. Make sure your oven is properly preheated. Also try covering your cake tin with aluminium foil with hole in the centre of the foil. So that helps in less browning of the sides and outer part with completely baked centre. Try and let me know how this goes.

    Y is that many ppl recommend to add sugar in a powdered form? Last time when I did cake the sugar doesn’t get dissolved and it got settled at base 🙁

    • @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj
      @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're saying you added powdered sugar and it didn't dissolve? Or the granulated sugar? Which one?

    • @dhanumanohar9370
      @dhanumanohar9370 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj granulated didn’t get dissolved..

    • @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj
      @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dhanumanohar9370 I use granulated sugar in almost all my recipes (for the reason that the sugar crystals because of its sharp edges, will create a lot of air pockets in the butter, resulting in soft and fluffy texture) Also it's not necessary that it has to be completely dissolved, little coarseness is fine. But make sure you mix it evenly (in the sense, scrape down the sides and bottom and mix it well) Rest while baking the sugar will melt and the texture will be fine😊

    Hi mam...as usual crisp and quality video. Worth to watch.
    Am having few doubts please clarify these..
    1. Shall I use 8 inch pan instead of 6?
    2. If I use electric blender, is it necessary to powder the sugar?
    3. If I use free range chicken will it give more taste? (Am having a small poultry farm)
    Thanks in advance.

    • @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj
      @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Indhu!
      1) Yes! You can. But just 1 pan will be enough. Also the cake will be large and flat (I meant it's height)
      2) Not necessary.
      3) Then definitely use the free range eggs. It's healthy too. But if you notice any strong smell in your baked products because of that egg, then probably try getting some other eggs from outside and give it a shot. I haven't noticed any difference in taste (both positively and negatively) with free range eggs if that's what you're asking for!
