Nope, it was a pull through site so we didn't get to even play the game 😁. If you kids are still going to be in San Diego in January we absolutely are going to meet up!! We wouldn't miss that opportunity for anything!
The mid American museum was really cool we will have to put that on the list to check out. I (Joel) love the crisp desert air of the west coast, there is just something about the feeling and smell that can't be fully described.
We had one of those near accidents happen to us. Back then I stored all of our liquor bottles in the top rear cabinet. We opened the trailer door and they had all fallen out. Lucky for us we had a laundry basket in the floor and they all fell in there and did not break! It was nice meeting your son and daughter in law! Those sculptures were really cool! Counting down the days (maybe years lol) until we can camp in the CA desert! Safe travels friends!
That's crazy that they fell into a laundry basket and were saved!! I was really surprised we didn't have everything come out of those cabinets. We were in full lock up and the trailer was starting to go sideways on me when I had to release to brakes and swerve. As for the sculptures the video doesn't do justice to the size of some of them. The dragon stretches across both sides of the road and the head is a good 20 feet tall. The jeep is the size of a real jeep.
I noticed Herbie right away but now you have aged me! What a good looking young man you two produced! Looked like a great brewery loved how your daughter in law explained the beer. I cant believe you fell into the eclipse people plan for a year for those things LOL! That was a great idea to capture the footage. I was shocked that nothing fell out of the cabinets it had to be the expert driving maneuver! Yes the desert is nice and I remember enjoying the warm evenings when I lived in Arizona but my favorite has to be Hawaii! Never a bad night! Excellent ending!
Our Daughter in Law is a hoot. We have a game we play with her after partaking of cocktails called "Drunken Plot Live Palooza with Vanessa!" She basically explains the plot lines of any given movies in the most hilarious of ways. Yeah, the whole eclipse thing was absolutely amazing. I figgured we had to film it since there is certainly some schmuck out there that was completely gutted when he/she found out there were no RV spots available to see the eclipse. And were were just fat, dumb and happy to stumble into it. To not film it would have been a slap in their faces.
