Love listening to this guy, after 30 years in the gym myself, everything he says lines up with what I've experienced. Consistency, decent diet, time, rest, simplicity. No BS, no secrets. Hello Lee. I have been doing your mass program for the past 4 weeks. I am a competitive powerlifter. I am 6'3 and weigh around 160kg. I have always struggled to stay motivated in between preps. I try to take a 4-6 week brake between meet preps. During that time I could never find a routine that would allow my joints to recover from heavy work while maintaining strength. I would either do too much and burn out or do too little and loose too much size and strength. I have found that your mass routine allows me to do just that. I feel motivated because I have a clear training plan. I am not doing heavy triples, doubles, singles. But I am doing enough weight and volume to maintain size and strength. I am 2 weeks away from starting my next prep. I feel strong, I have lost some fat which keeps the wife and the doctors happy. But my strength on assistance exercises has increased.

Just saw an interview with Dexter Jackson and Roelly Winklaar and others at a barbecue and the interviewer asked dexter which body builder has the best arms and his reply was Roelly winklaar but of all time was Lee Priest 💪👍😀 the video is on utube and is about 3 weeks old

So I’m guessing he’s a morning hyper person and by the time Sam films with him he’s tired etc as he’s been up since early doors

tbh im 15, i started gymming about 6-8 months ago and made little progress in the first 2 months. Then i realised i wasnt eating good, so i started eating everything i saw and made great progress. Ive put on about 10kg in total, but ive put on some fat too. When would you recommend to stop bulking, considering im still getting "newbie gains" (i never really had newbie gains, but still, im new to the gym).

Lee definitely should get paid. These kids today are so lost on what training is all about. Before they even start they go on about programs and phases and macros and micros stfu. Focus on Learning how to lift properly, how to eat, learn how hard you really need to work. Focus on Learning the discipline, thats the first couple of years. As a nubie YOU ARE NOT READY FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT! Their focus is on everything else except EFFORT. It's not complicated just very hard.

I've got the bulking part down.
I really admire his lifting technique....he makes it look smooth and almost easy. That is the key. I'm in my low 60's and that is the way to go.....smooth and do not worry about the weight.
His technique is perfect.
You can go back and look at his younger days where he's benching 315 and his technique is absolutely flawless.
When I've gotten into it with say Branch Warren fans over technique I'll point out Lee.

There is no "perfect" formula to muscle growth, every person is different, genetics is a factor, diet is a factor, training is a factor but each will be different for every person, train and do what works for you, experiement with yourself

Lmao 😂 - this was a good video on “JUST TRAIN”. I made a comment on one of Dave’s Rx videos that Lee had said what we all think, that bodybuilders today don’t train hard and stare at their phones in the gym. A Troll writes a response how smart phones are good for tracking your workout, and I should not work out in a public gym if I can’t ask people,to work in. I bet Lee never took 5 min rest sets when he was training. Also I wish lee would talk about why he used to train at 430 am 🙀
I train very early in the morning as well, might not be the same reason as Lee, but here is my take on it:
In the morning, there is barely anyone in the gym, so you can use all the equipment, make all the noise and focus on yourself.
Also, if you are done at (in my case) 7 in the morning, you have a lot of time to do other stuff (eg. work, learn, prepare food, etc.)

@@ungobungo7986 that as well. But I believe that depends on your sleep cycle. So it is not necessarily higher in the morning, but higher shortly after waking up. So if you were to wake up at 9 and go to the gym, you'd still have a higher test level at 10, than at 8 in the evening.

Eat right, train hard and rest appropriately.
There is no magic training program or drug cycle to make anyone a pro bodybuilder or even any new diets.
In my opinion, old school is the best.

Everyone needs to find their right combination to get the best results.
Bottom line is, if someone follows a rich piana cycle or a boston lloyd cycle and have absolute shit results then it's not gonna work regardless of how many drugs or how much drugs.
Me personally, I've never taken steroids but I've known people that have and wasted their money.

@@shawngansert1973 i gained 25lbs and got leaner on 16 weeks of 500mg of test cyp. I gained 15 in the 16 weeks prior to that on nothing but that was after resuming training of 8 years with a year break. I gave another guy the info of what i did, however minimal, and he didnt really change. But i also think he lied about his diet and didnt train enough or intensely enough.

2019? comments shit me lee is very open about his use, he was in that documentary with Tom platz on what the pros use. Only guy who didn’t blur out his face. He has also answered drug questions a million times in utube vids.

There's no point in mass training unless your going to compete in the world's strongest man contest. What I found is that when bulking up you put on a ton of fat and end up spending hours doing cardio and intermittent fasting to burn it off, the best approach and most practical is stay lean year round and train consistently, avoid an unhealthy lifestyle, eat clean and make protein a priority and the muscle will come. There's nothing worse when your with a girl and she thinks your sporting a six pack and when your shirt comes off your belly sticks out.
The biggest lie is that there are secrets to doing this and that when there really isn't.
