This is a GREAT mod combo, and really takes advantage of the Series X's hardware. Thanks AG! I've been looking at different weather mods lately, and the mods I've found that are LO friendly are Vivid Weathers (no surprise), Calamity (which is from Arindel, who authored a ton of weather and lighting mods for Skyrim, and is a whopping 872 kb!), Apocalyptic Weathers and Moribund Weathers, which really puts the Apocalypse back into post-apocalypse. NAT is also a contender but the mod author has long ceased working on it, so fair warnings. Even if you don't like or use any if the weather mods, Calamity Interiors is also high on my recommendations as it will make any interior cell look that much better. Hope that helps! Cheers, AG!
Also. If you’re going to use 60 FPS mod shown in this video make sure you don’t have FPS Boost activated because it will cause your game to crash on startup. It took me a while to figure it out.
Thank you so much for sharing! Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. I lament not being able to experience it like this the first time around!
I had the scrap everything mod and my game kept crashing when I was in downtown Boston and it took me a year to figure out that mods like that allow you to scrap items not intended by Bethesda will break precombines and cause your game to be extremely unstable.
Happened to me too. I still use it though. I'm just careful about how much I scrap in that area. STS is good and all but it dosen't allow me to scrap some things that I want to scrap
@@martymcyourflysdown6872 that is a good one but there are some things that I need to scrap for my purposes that it will not allow me to scrap. That and I run somewhere around 130 to 150 mods at one time lol

Thank you for this video I just sat here looking at my tv I didn’t know where to start with mods on the series x to make fallout look better so thank you for this ❤
Another good mod I'd gritty subway stations or gritty subways, something like that. Then tack on hd bathroom stalls or hq bathroom stalls which makes the stalls look worn out and old as sin.
I am sorry if I missed it, but are you using a display with VRR? My game drops frames like mad with the fps mod installed, with and without Vivid fallout, I am using a series X btw. Cool video though. A quick edit I am using no other mods or CC stuff and I do not have a VRR display.
Oh yeah, I've felt the heat from the top, but it's not too bad if you consider it's only at the top where the fan blows out. My PC runs nice and cool(CPU 32 -60-1sh, GPU never goes past 70-72 degrees, averages mid-60s while gaming) but it's warm right by the fans too. Gamers Nexus did a heat analysis of the system and it was quite good. PS5, not as good.
Using the newer Nac X Lite mod alone makes the visuals and graphics so much better combined with that 60 fps Ultra mod. That’s before you even hit any other texture mods. I tried vivid architecture and it was almost too much contrast when combined with Nac X Lite. I wish someone would do a compressed 1k Natural Landscapes port to Xbox as well as an updated architectural equivalent.
Found two great channels today. I'm sure I watch another channel by this guy. The music is phenomenal in this video!!! Drive on Brother and keep drivin on!!
Very top. Should be your first mod after the patch. First thing the game does when it loads is run the settings (.ini files), so always with settings mods like this--very top.
I used this one but was a bit heavy. I recommend just fps boost and nac x for lighting and escape from boston landscapes and interiors, that changed the game for me and holds 60fps. I even have extra weapons and ememies. Fps boost is magic
What are your thoughts on the next gen update? Would it be a better combo to use vivid along side the next gen update or would still using ultra+ mod be the way to go
Okay so here’s my godly mod combo I’ve been using on the X… 60 fps ultra mod, Vivid AIO, NAC fixed, Borealis grass, some trees, neon signs, and dilapidated roads faded… And for the NAC fixed settings I use: preset darker shadows, FOV 120, Vignette off, noise off…. This will make your game look VERY similar to an ENB thank me later… if you follow all these instructions your game should look fucking amazing.
@The Ancient Gamer So what do you think of the new free Fallout 4 Next Gen Update & DLC coming out this year for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC systems?
Hi all, i’ve got another mod question. I’ve seen videos on here where the pip boy inventory is in color. Is this part of an inventory organization mod? Is there a standalone colorization mod? Or am I missing something on the color settings in the vanilla game?
You should be able to change the single color of the Pip Boy in game. But as far as making the Pip Boy have a color screen? That would have to be a mod. And I'm not sure of one off-hand. Maybe there is a Map mod offers that.
@@AugmentalGameplay thanks. not too long after I posted this I realized that my inventory is in fact true color. I'm almost positive it wasn't that way when I 1st got the map mod, but maybe just wasn't paying attention
Thanks to the magic of fps boost is possible. NAC X for lighting and escape from boston as a landscpes and iinteriors and some extra weapons and enemies ....it holds 60fps and looks like a remake. I am enjoyng the game a lot again.
I can already see some texture loading issues in the vid, I feel like if your playing a more content heavy (extra building/towns), that using those mods would break the game. after a year of gameplay on standard setting, with almost no mods my save was almost unplayable. please correct me if I'm wrong,
Still a big issue even next gen update running it grows file size maximum is 17mb per save then it crashes ,the save file doesn't last very long with any mods on ps5 the starting value is already 9mb after all the new content and it grows past 11 in the first half hour exiting vault 111.
Hi I’m new to this, never used mods b4. Series x . Installed these 2, said something about load order, then restarted the game. I started a new game, just exited the vault, can’t tell if anything’s different. On paused menu, both are there & checked. How do if I know if mods are active or working?
Neither are super dramatic, they work great and make your game look great--but you would have to look at a direct comparison--like in the video--to really get hit with how different it is.
But you say you are new, so one big thing! Make sure to go to compatibility options for Fallout 4 and turn off FPS Boost and Auto HDR. 60fps Ultra-Settings won't work with FPS Boost on, and Auto-HDR can cause flickering in the landscape. If you don't know how, go to the Fallout in your games library and click the start button on your controller. Then in the drop down menu, manage games--then compatibility options. Make sure both boxes are unchecked. Then, make sure Fallout 4 isn't running (start+quit) and restart your xbox from the power menu. You should be good.
Thanks for the help. Ok so played for awhile & turned off, came back few hrs later & wow. I didn’t cycle the console off before, just restarted the game. There is a noticeable difference now. It’s almost a weird 3d effect. Things r smoother, & and more detailed. Just got through the Preston introduction & haven’t noticed anything strange. This is really cool. Also added an audio mod to these. It give more longevity to my favorite game. I’ve bought it twice on 2 different consoles lol. Not tech savvy. Had know idea. Mods are a game changer…literally lol
