The most amazing, varied and expressive voice in history. No wonder the opera legend Placido Domingo stated "The voice of Elvis is the only voice I ever wish to have had."
As you have quite rightly said, this song like so many others that aren't that well know outside of the Elvis fan base. But they show that there was so much more to his voice and his incredible talent in just putting that special Elvis twist to each one.The talent that he had is still not fully recognised by the music industry. As for If I would love me ,we do before now and forever ❤.Thanks again for a great reaction.
Thank you for this song. You make me listen more carefully. Elvis doesn't stop to amaze me wth his wonderful voice, singing and producing. His songs are audible works of art. Like a painting of Van Gogh or Rembrandt.
Ein wundervolles Lied und die gefühlvolle Samtstimme von Elvis passt so gut dazu. Er konnte seine Stimme so an das jeweilige Lied anpassen...das war wirklich pure Magie.
Chills....yes his voice is like a soft, warm blanket to wrap ourselves in when this world feels so cold.❤ such a beautiful song melting my heart with his gentle vibrato....dreamy. Thank you Rene for sharing this diamond with us.💎👑
Mi sto commuovendo..😢.mi succede spesso ascoltando Elvis. Questa canzone non l'avevo ancora sentita....è molto bella, la musica è bella, la sua voce incredibilmente bella...Lui è magico! 🌟
Really like the June '70 recordings that ended up on Love Letters From Elvis & Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old) I guess I know what you mean .....some of the songs are real pearls💎‼️
This particular track was recorded in June 1970. Take 9 was the only complete take, therefore the master take. It was recorded on the last night of a 4 night recording session. “With the next three songs, “If I Were You,” the inspirational “Only Believe,” and “Sylvia,” they all knew they’d reached the bottom of the demo pile. They were all still performing at their peak, but the material was unimaginative, and so were the arrangements. When Elvis closed the sessions with Eddie Rabbitt and Rory Bourke’s frenetic rocker “Patch It Up,” he brought the four days of sessions to a blazing conclusion; if the material had only been there, it seemed he could have gone on all week. Felton Jarvis, by June 9, must have been in the grip of elation and relief. In just five nights, Elvis had recorded a staggering total of thirty-four songs.”
Pretty sure it was the FTD release of the Love Letters Album material, Elvis says between takes the material was words to the effect, bland.. neither good or bad...but as you say he had the ability to record anything and bring it to life by injecting some heart and soul into it....thats what made him the best I suppose 😉
Wow, you can play the song a little longer. If you do that here in the land of the big rip-off - Germany, you will be asked to pay immediately and your channel will be blocked. A maximum of 10 seconds is allowed. If at all. By the way, i also love this very nice song. Thanks.
I can't really stomach some of the lyrics. If I were you, I know that I'd love me. It's a bit cringeworthy. However this is Elvis recording in 1970 at the peak of his powers...he could sing just about anything in 1970 and make it sound amazing simply because his voice was just that good.
👑 give this greatest entertainer any song he would sing it👑👑👑⭐️👑⭐️
Beautiful beautiful
Perfection only the King can pull one into him when he sings. He is the best of the best. Love him always.

The most amazing, varied and expressive voice in history. No wonder the opera legend Placido Domingo stated "The voice of Elvis is the only voice I ever wish to have had."
I feel Elvis would be a lyric singer if he had stayed
He's the best! A magical voice able to touch us inside!

King Of Smooth❤
I don’t think I have ever heard this before. Love your channel for helping me uncover some of these lesser known tracks
This shows why Elvis is the greatest performer ever. Elvis just brings the lowest of the low songs up to another level.
❤❤❤❤❤

I want to know what this song is about? It seems very very deep. Such a very powerful, emotional and beautiful song!!!! Elvis makes it that way.
It's about a lost love, he still loves her so much that he can't understand why she doesn't feel the same way about him.

I understand how it might come across differently, but what he’s really saying is that he loves her, not himself. And yes he was amazing.
