Get something smaller, you said yourself you dont have enough space. I have a philodendron tortum, looks like a palm but takes up less space. And hope you get better soon
I started actually "collecting" plants in 2021 when I decided I wanted to seek out all of the plants my mom had in our house growing up. So I got a Dieffenbachia snow caps, an asparagus fern, and a Hoya carnosa. And that's how it all started! So get those nostalgic plants!
I hope the world stops spinning for you Miro- feel better! I had vertigo also suddenly, but mine was a misplaced crystal and I felt better after it was back in place, but took a couple of years for it to get completely better. Definitely not fun! I've had a Norfolk Pine for a long time, they are lovely!
Get a small Norfolk pine, 🌲 they don’t grow that fast and are really nice, plus you have the tropical conditions they love. Palms 🌴 of any size seem to be prone to brown leaves, scale, mites, mealy bugs etc. But get any plant that makes your heart happy, the rarest plant is the one with nice memories that you can get again! Ugh -ear infections are bad enough, you got a double whammy also having awful vertigo too. So glad you are feeling better 😊 Oh I need that watering pump thing, was just looking at one…love the long wand and the large water container. Being short it would be a great help too. Continue to be well! 🌿
Feel better quickly! I've been through this, I recall my Husband going through as well at one point and it can be very scary. Glad treatment is working. You're correct, be gentle on yourself.
@@BasiePlants I took him to the hospital because his symptoms were so extreme like yours that it was frightening . We were so relieved to know it was nothing serious in the end.
Miro, please let yourself rest for as long as life allows it. To total recover if possible. Overdoing anything does nothing for you. Rest. Dr orders as well. May your recovery come soon and easy. Love, light and healing sent your way. ❤️❤️❤️🌱🌱🌱
Miro! Hope you're feeling much much better....I know you've probably done a ton of research on it, but you know, we all care about our Miro and need you healthy and happy at all times. As a health-enthusiast, I have to preach the usual - no processed foods, no sugar, take care of your gut microbiome, get out into nature everyday, 7 hrs minimum sleep a night, etc etc. Go all out 1100% on the things you CAN control, to be as best prepared as possible for the things we cannot control.... And most importantly: get the Norfolk Island pine and palm tree, if you really want them. How lucky you are to derive so much joy in plants (too many people don't have anything at all that brings them even a fraction of such joy). Here's my experience: we bought a small 2 foot tall Norfolk pine back in 2002 for our office. We still have it (after 21 years) and it is as tall as the ceiling, lol, about 8 ft tall. Never any special treatment, no pests ever. Yes they get big but are very slow growing... Enjoy and best wishes :)
Thank you :) I don't eat processed foods or sugars :) It's usually plant-based and freshly made. Sleeping is an issue xD I tend to go to bed very late and wake up early and sometimes I get 5 hours of sleep. :S Something I definitely need to work on more!
WOW. What a bad week. Plants everywhere. Take your time rearranging. Even when you are not well you manage to produce a GREAT video. I have all my plants on self watering with good water holding capacity. Of course I started that right from the beginning and slowly increased them as I bought plants. I can't wait for spring here so plants can be shipped again. Go slow and take care of your self. Read and reread your new book.
Thank you Angela! Yes, this would have been much easier if I was getting self-watering pots as I was acquiring new plants. The collection might have been smaller, but my job would have been so much easier too :D But, there is time to change this, so slowly I am working on it :)
I'm double-commenting because it's important😉- you REALLY should get a Norfolk pine! You can get a small one. In my experience they don't grow that fast. But they're so beautiful and really easy to care for. Mine is one of my easiest plants.
I've had virtigo really bad before! Doesn't matter if you close your eyes, your world still spins!! It's heredity in my family! So glad you got some help and are feeling better! I got all my watering done while listening to the video! Thanks!
I never had it like this so I was quite surprised. I had no idea it can get this bad. I kind of wish I never had to learn xD I am glad you got some watering done! :)
I’m so glad you are on the mend! I’m going to take this video as my sign to take it easy, I’m recovering from surgery and I’ve been doing too much this week but it’s so hard to just sit and do nothing (I say, as a couch potato). The plants can wait, and it not then it’s survival of the fittest 😂. Also, get the pine and palm. Add a little more diversity. I just picked up my first ever Syngonium! Take care
Please take care of yourself. We all need You healthy 🥰 also this type of content was really good. P.S. no palms - they don't want to live with people 😂 araukaria is a good idea. They need a cooler temperatures in winter 👌
I had one before :) When I moved to the US for a year, my mom killed it :D I also had a small palm collection and they did really well. But that was 15 years ago when we had normal summers and you could take them outside and not water every single day :D
I also used to flick through the pages of a plant book! The House Plant Expert, by Dr D. G. Hessayon - legendary. It's old though - some of the genera have been reclassified since it was published. Nice art work though.
Hi Miro, I’m sorry you had such a rough week. I hope you can take some rest for yourself and maybe just enjoy the guide book to Hoyas of Borneo with some tea. Relax and rest!
First in the comment section - yaaaaay😊. I look at your videos to see the kind of Hoyas I’d like to have, most of them stay in my dreams because we don’t have many varieties in my country and importing is a nightmare that is not even worth exploring. But I have a dream that one day I’ll get all the Hoya in my wishlist. Thanks for sharing, love your videos always.
Those things change :) I also used to think that because no one was importing any 'rare' plants here but markets change all the time :) So there is chance for sure!
I wrote my comment before getting to the end of the video, sorry for the ordeal - that must have been scary. It’s always scariest when you are not sure what’s wrong. I’m glad you are feeling better. Please take care of yourself, take it easy and give yourself time to get well.
Oh my gosh! I hope you continue to improve. I received my Hoyas Of Borneo book a couple of weeks ago. It is a beautiful book that was quite expensive. I hope you enjoy yours.
Sorry Miro that you had your inner ear problem, I have the same problem when I’m over tried & if I move my head to much I’m throwing up! And the only thing that helps me is sleeping and propped up with pillows, because if I Lie down everything starts spinning again… And no more plants 😆
Glad to see you are on the mend, Miro. Watching your plant care vlog was soothing. If you sent your hoya blooms photos to your plant friend who is working on a hoya blooms calendar for 2024, sign me up for the order list. 🤓🏵
You are the best Miro I’m sorry you’ve been dealing this that! I had it one time and it was so scary!! I was always spinning and so nauseous from the spinning
thank you for sharing!! I hope that you continue to feel better. Weirdly, I had some extreme vertigo this past Friday!! I suspected displaced ear crystals ( which I learned about when my father had it ), and there are some good videos to put them in the right area to stop the vertigo. luckily this worked for me.
So sorry to hear about your sudden illness! How scary 🤯 Where's your TH-cam link to buy you a coffee? I'm sure (sure hope!) You missed work during that. The least I can do is buy you a coffee. So glad to hear you're on the mend! And thank you so much for sharing a bit of your life with us now and then 😊 Keep up the awesome content and your recovery 🌺
Oh please get as much rest as you can. I am glad you are getting better. I get really bad vertigo because of allergies so I know exactly what you are going through and it isn’t something I would wish on anyone. As far as the two trees….we’ll you have huge aroids after only having them a year. Just how small do you think you are going to keep them without going the bonsai route 😜
I am sorry you experienced it too! I really hope this doesn't end up being alergy related or something, I do not want to experience it again xD Hahaha :D Well, in my mind, both the palm I want and araucaria grow suuuuuper slow.
I’m so sorry Miro. I’ve had Vertigo a couple times in my life and that is the worst feeling. You can’t even function. Praying your meds get you all better soon. Don’t worry about the video. Just get well. 💚🌱💚
Wishing you a complete healing. I’m a big fan of your channel but I have no Hoyas. I do however have a 40 year old Norfolk Island Pine and a 20 year old palm tree which gives me one new leaf a year.
It seems like you received the right medical attention. How is your hearing now? About 6 years ago, I had the noises in my ear, sought medical help, but was accidentally sent out of the clinic. The vertigo struck while I was driving on the freeway in an ice storm! I was very afraid! And yes, things come out! Despite all my efforts, I never got treated with any medicine. I lost hearing permanently. I was told it was some kind of infection in my inner ear. I still suffer bouts of vertigo, tinnitus, migraines, and Bell's Palsy syndrome at times. You are fortunate to have found caring medical personnel who gave you the appropriate attention. Take care of yourself to completely recover!
My hearing was fine when it started too :D Aside from the puslating feeling. I am sorry to hear what happened to you! That is really awful. I am having a hearing test on the 30th, and some additional tests done, so I will find out more. I do hope this does not repeat again, definitely not something I am interested in re-living.
@Basie Plants Let's hope your hearing is fine. I was prescribed hearing aids but the tinnitus is so loud and has at least 5 tones that they dont work. I had to regain my health by using a small trampoline for balance and taking many saunas. The sauna has always helped me to sweat out illnesses. I wish the best recovery for you, Miro!
Hi Miro. As always, I enjoy your videos. I'm not a big fan of Norfolk pines, but I know many are. Maybe because they get so big. I know of a number of people who bring them in the house and use them as their Christmas tree. Glad you are feeling a bit better. Those experiences can be a bit scary..
Thanks Pam! Already feeling better :) Oh I love Norfolk pine a lot, especially because they are so soft! But big ones are so expensive. I will probably get a small one and see how it goes :)
Norfolk pine maybe, but no palms. You are trying to make more space, palms take up a lot of space. And coconut palms are amongst the most difficult to grow indoors!
Stop me from buying a Norfolk pine/ palm tree, please. 😂
