- A Larry Carlton style jam track in A. The track moves through two sections, one being a pedal blues that lasts for 16 bars and the next being a twelve bar where the bass picks up momentum and the chords move in a jazz blues style.
Look at utilizing both the major and minor pentatonic sounds here and for more advanced players, try using altered tensions on the F#7.
Happy Jamming!
Cool Jesse! Glad you're enjoying the track
I'll be recording some stuff over this - just what I was looking for!
Man this is great!
cool! 10th bar should be the V chord or E7 on the chart ;)
Hey! Great track!
can i use this backing track for a recording with my guitar? sounds great, thanks
hey hey. im really grooving with your track. Im still a beginner though and i try to fit the last 2 bars in my mind. the A7 F#7 B7 E7 turn around. I try to play the chords in different ways to highlight different notes, but i still can not get the clear descending sound of the turnaround. To me it sounds like from A7 it moves up to F#7 and then it descends 2 steps to E7, but when i play the chords, steps go up and down differently and i cant feel the "falling part" the way i hear it (cant describe it better). Any comment or advice or notes that are being highlighted in each chord to get this descending feeling from F#7 to B7 to E7?
I am soloing over this but I notice that A Pentatonic doesn't work so well over the whole thing. What would be the scale to use over the F# and Bm?
Hey Michael, try F# Altered scale for the F#7 and B dorian for the Bm, you could also try out A maj pentatonic over the Bm as it shares lots of common tones. Have fun!
