I've seen a number of interviews with Kristine Opolais, and each time she is so completely charming yet also candid and unassuming. Really refreshing to hear her speak about her commitment to her art and profession.
Everything she says in interviews resonates with me. I really agree with her perspective on characters and composers. She is also mysterious and quirky, like Natalie Dessay. When I first saw Kristine in two UGLY BAD productions of Tosca, I was still mesmerised by her, how she elevated herself above the ugliness. Same in Rusalka; she was Rusalka and she is something truly magical.
Adored, worshiped Kristine Opolais - PLEASE consider resuscitating Alfredo Catalani's fascinating figure Loreley!! She is Rusalka and Puccini in the same person!!
