He was my teacher in Portland primary school and as a class we was on the news as he just got noticed and decided to do music full time, he sang this song often to us in class. I always remember a school dance we had too, everyone paired up and had someone to dance with and I didn't, he saw me alone and danced with me. Forever in my heart Mr Landsborough. 🥰
My Dad's favourite... He had this played at his funeral, didn't know how much he loved this track , kept it to himself, typical irish man . Brings me to tears every time. Playing it now on the 8th anniversary of his death ... Guess what ? I'm crying .
My dad passed just over 6 weeks ago and like you I didn't know how much he loved this song until he passed. This was one of his funeral songs too and I know listen to it and the words hit hard 💔
Our dear father passed away two weeks ago very close to our mother passing, we are all broken, they loved this song and I'm in tears listening to it. Thanks, Charlie, it is beautiful.
I came across this song many years ago whilst holidaying in the Lake District, and it has never left me, beautifully sung by a "Country" Gentleman. Thank you SO much for this song, and finally NO one can sing it with the same feeling as you Charlie Landsborough
I always think of my son (RIP) when I hear this song. He went blind when he was seven. 😔. I remember he heard a fire engine going past our car one day and he asked me “what colour is it Mum?” It was so sad, but I had to hold it all together so he wouldn’t realise how upset it made me feel that he couldn’t see it for himself. I always wished he could see all that Mother Nature had to offer. 😢. 🦋 🇦🇺 2019

My nana always played this for me and little sister when we were small. She died about 10 years ago. Recently I woke in the night and remembered the song of been hearing in my mind. She was sending me the message and song again to say she's with me.
What a beautiful song sung with such feeling , it always reminds me of my beloved older son aged 44 who l lost 1 week after a tragic mishap, not of his making, in 2010. l cry everytime l hear it as l recall his young years when l spent so much time with him, teaching him colours and numbers as he handed me the pegs as l hung out the washing. Such a wonderful loving companion, and loyal son and friend. This song of Charlie,s will always remain a favorite, he seems a gentle, sensitive soul, just like my lovely natured son.
Back in primary school, my school choir sang along with Charlie (he was a friend of the head mistress) my gran was a massive fan.. she was delighted she got to hear and meet him in person afterwards 🥰

My dad used to listen to this song alot when i was young. He passed away quite suddenly just over 1 month ago and this song brings back so many good memories
What colour is the wind, Daddy Is it yellow, red or blue When he's playing with my hair, Daddy Does he do the same to you When he's dying does his colour fade Is a gentle breeze a lighter shade Just like his friend the sea The wind feels blue to me When the blackbird starts to sing, Daddy Do the flowers hear him, too When he's pouring out his heart, Daddy Tell me, what do roses do Do they cast their scent upon the air And is fragrance just a rose in prayer Giving thanks to God above For the blackbird's song of love Blow, wind, blow Wild and free My Daddy saysYou're a lot like me I know each colour Its shape and size I've seen them all With my Daddy's eyes I know that grass is green Daddy I've touched it with my toes and snow is pure as white daddy I've felt it with my nose but my favourite colour, has to be the colour of your love for me and daddy I've been told that love is always gold blow wind blow, wild and free my daddy says your a lot like me my daddy says your a lot like me what colour is the wind?

I love charlie landsbrough so so so much in my heart from Belfast Conor Burns
Beautiful God given voice with a beautiful message! Thank you, Mr Landsborough.
What colour is the wind, Daddy
Is it yellow, red or blue
When he's playing with my hair, Daddy
Does he do the same to you
When he's dying does his colour fade
Is a gentle breeze a lighter shade
Just like his friend the sea
The wind feels blue to me
When the blackbird starts to sing, Daddy
Do the flowers hear him, too
When he's pouring out his heart, Daddy
Tell me, what do roses do
Do they cast their scent upon the air
And is fragrance just a rose in prayer
Giving thanks to God above
For the blackbird's song of love
Blow, wind, blow Wild and free
My Daddy saysYou're a lot like me
I know each colour
Its shape and size
I've seen them all
With my Daddy's eyes
I know that grass is green Daddy
I've touched it with my toes
and snow is pure as white daddy
I've felt it with my nose
but my favourite colour, has to be the colour of your love for me
and daddy I've been told that love is always gold
blow wind blow, wild and free
my daddy says your a lot like me
my daddy says your a lot like me
what colour is the wind?
