The video is good but I think sometimes Windows buit-in tool is really limited, for example it cannot extend partition with disk management sometimes but if you use aomei partition assistant this nice tool you can do almost anything on a disk.
I installed Win10 64bit and noticed it has created 3 tiny partitions on the C drive, which a separate SSD. Why so ? can i get rid of these small partitions, its confusing when taking image backups of the OS. Thanks.

right after shrikin let it unlocated then go to the volume u want to extend when u right click on it select extend volume ...the volume amount of shrunk space show up in the box dialogue finally click next to apply changes...bom 💥the partition pump up

This is great! I’m waiting on a SSD 240Gb from eBay and my HDD is 297Gb but not much of it is used so now I can reduce my HDD to 240Gb before I clone it to the SSD.

You can't merge two partitions. You can copy the contents of one partition to the other though and delete the old one, then resize the left over partition to take up the vacant space.
During the OS installation, it should ask you to specify where you want to install it. You would select the partition of choice under Advanced setup or something like that.
@@uzidayo thats why im here too...i have less than 20 gigs lift in the c drive leaving little room to install...i have a 4 terabite external on top of the d drive taking up the rest of the normal storage and cant expand the c...digging around...i keep getting leads to stupid programs to merge that aren't working or charging extortionary prices to upgrade to pro....pain in the balls
@Daniel Jester same. I tried messing around with it but after failing I just decided to start using two drives at the same time so basically now I just use my d drive lol

Aomei Partition Assistant is really helpful for me because you could do a lot in just one disk management tool.

I cannot convert the disk without deleting the volumes, it is not working, but it works on Aomei partition assistant.

i can't seem to increase the volume for c drive though? after already shrinking the volume on another disk
As for me Aomei partition assistant is really powerful, it can do what disk management cannot.

You can't merge two partitions. You can copy the contents of one partition to the other though and delete the old one, then resize the left over partition to take up the vacant space.
You have to merge drives with something called raid
My local Disc C is almost full but my Local Disk G which as 2 TB. Do I need to create or just transfer files over?
Just transfer the files. Partitions is for dividing up a single hard drive to have multiple purposes. You don't need to partition anything. Just copy.
