According to the excellent book Field Guide to the Fossils of Texas by Charles Finsley (arguably the best book on the fossils of a single state except for the even better book on Ohio Fossils), Hamites is the former name of the genus. It is now considered Idiohamites fremonti. Just a suggestion... why not narrate as you go, describing what you are finding, including the species or at least genus names where known?

Thanks for watching. Agreed, One of the best books on Texas Fossils. Check out one of our hunts with narration. 👍👍👍th-cam.com/video/bhYFIzlN0i0/w-d-xo.html

He's calling it a Hamite ammonite, but that is the former name of the genus. It is now considered Idiohamites fremonti.
