Thanks for sharing David. Lefty is always a joy to watch-the way you interact with him is so wonderful. For the roast, in addition to onion soup mix, if you put it in the crockpot try a can of cream of mushroom soup with the potatoes, carrots and onions, and the onions. Makes an amazing gravy.

Italian roast beef (for sandwiches). 3-4lb roast cut up 2 cups water 1 cup jar spaghetti sauce 2 celery ribs, 1 onion 1 garlic clove. May use dried garlic and onion Remove onion and celery when cooked. 2 Tbsp French dressing 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp vinegar 1 Tbsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or more 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning Pinch oregano 1 tsp rosemary. Simmer in pot or crockpot for up to 6 hrs till fork tender. Shred up and put on buns. May add some mozzarella or provolone. I toast my buns in air fryer with some garlic powder and cheese on. Then add beef 😋 SOooo yummy. Makes 24 sandwiches. Hope you try it because it's absolutely delicious.
Needed beef cubes or beef bouillon ( bunch of brands out there ) small will take no room in rig. Only one bottle water to start with beef bouillon. Add spices salt, pepper , Italian seasoning, onion and garlic powders - or whatever u have … some gravy on top of rice and meat would be delish. Looked good ! Your doing great 👍👍👍 Lefty is a Sweetie 🐾🐾🐾🐾

David, you pick the best intro music and views; I also enjoy your choices for your segments 👍🏻 For a moment, I thought the burning smell you mentioned was coming from the roast 😂. Well I'm glad you were able to salvage your hunk of meat and enjoyed a good meal.

I love cooking meat on a little cast iron grill pan that goes over a burner (or two burners with a larger one). Usually takes about 10 minutes for the burner to get it up to grilling temperature. Then roughly 6-7 minutes on a side for a decent steak (140F in the middle if you trust the meat, 150F or higher if you have less trust).
David, I use a Dreo Chef maker to cook my steaks and they're the best I've ever had!!! It's an air fryer made for cooking meats of various types. It has a temperature probe and a very user friendly display/control screen. Best cooking appliance I've ever purchased.
i take beef cubed up and siered, throw it in crock pot along with frozen mixed or can vegitsbles along with tators and onions😋😋. eat on a pot full for days👍
Gotta find some veggies you like, to go along with your healthy eating that you talked about.🤔 You can make that into a one pot meal if you sear the meat first, turn the heat to medium and add the onions and spices, add enough water to just cover the meat, then add some potatoes and carrots. If you like that kind of thing.😊
It's hard to mess up a roast when you slow cook it. It's cold here in Wisconsin. Can't wait till I head south sometime before Christmas. Going to Texas first to meet a friend. Solar is pretty useless these days. I'm always having to run the van to keep the batteries charged. Bailey likes my daughter's backyard for playing ball. I picked up a tracking collar in case he gets loose some day and I don't notice it. Really like it. I'm here for Thanksgiving with family and fixing up the van. Maybe I'll see you one of these days, because I plan on heading to Quartzsite sooner or later. I like that place.
I too was yelling no brown it first! I also let mine come to about room temp before I brown it. We call it fried roast. I season with onion, garlic powder, salt pepper, let it come to room temp then fry on all sides. I use a small cast iron Dutch oven. I check mine about every 45 mins to an hour at which time I flip it over then add more water if needed. I add an onion if I have one and potatoes towards the end but no carrots, I think the carrots take over flavor wise, I prefer to cook them separately. Lefty sure was telling his opinion on the coffee!
Hello David and Lefty. It's diesel heater season here in Buffalo for sure. I just ordered something called a Bureck. It clones the remote of the diesel heater and becomes a true thermostat to turn the heater on and off to your set temp. I'll let you know how it works out.
@@TheCampulanceManWill do and if you still have the same heater you installed in your heater video then we have the same controller/remote now. It's supposed to be able to clone most of the simple four-button, on-off, up-down remotes. And while we're on the subject of reviews lol, that Madea u-shaped window unit air conditioner I got over the summer worked out great. Never went over 400 watts and would usually settle in around 150 to 200 watts once you cooled the rig down because of the variable compressor. It ran on my little Renogy 1000W inverter without a hitch. (That inverter draws less than 3watts on stand by.) When I was researching around I found out that this particular type of window unit is almost three times more efficient then one of the better (expensive) rooftop 12 volt AC units. I think it's because there's such an EPA push for regulations about efficiency in appliances, especially refrigeration and air conditioning that just isn't there in the 12-volt Market.
Mine has the remote with the LCD screen on it which they said wasn't compatible. I have a new heater that im going to be installing from a European company - it's going to be a good one i think :)@infotoons212
Hi David and Lefty….I love roasts and crockpot type things this time of year. When I want stew, lately I’ve been doing it with ground beef and I almost like it more than with “stew” meat. I really enjoy the leftovers for days when I make it. Same with you on the carrots, but definitely onion and potatoes. Now they have those bags of the really small golden potatoes…they’re bite size….I add a ton of those, gotta have enough potatoes to last all the days….lol. I love how perfect Lefty’s timing is for his talking….he makes me laugh for sure. That ending sunset was absolutely gorgeous! I wish I could’ve seen it in person. You guys stay well. Peace….
I'm the same with my fridge - I had to take everything out & organize it so that everything was in the same position (milk on the right & veggies on the left)
Make your roast but add green chili's, tomatoes, onions, pepper etc after cooking it and shredd it. Taco spices. Reduce until it is thick. Such great Tacos and with Spanish rice...tamales, .Mexican dishes
Browning is a flavor thing. It’s no big deal to skip that part. It looked totally delicious from here! I’ve done the round steak layered with onions and mushroom soup. No browning and it tastes awesome every time. You are a top campulance chef! Hope Lefty got a little roast with his dinner 🙂

I can imagine - I hate driving by the processing pens. Packed with cows.
Why don't you use a crockpot?
It usually takes up too power and drains the batteries. David said in one video he'll take gas/propane over electric stove cooking anytime.
They work great but it's about the storage and the power usage. Propane is available all the time but cloudy days can limit our available power.
Why not brown the meat first and stop using water..and salt and pepper..use some kind of broth
I was supposed to sear it... but I forgot :/
I read meth instead of meat. Was thinking about damn time
