    where do you keep the jar for 5 weeks? ourside or inside the fridge?

    Theary, do you know how to make the other version of mam without the toasted rice. The one with papaya and brown sugar. I still remember from my childhood , they sale it at the market , pile up in a pan . Thank you for all your post.

      apsara3105 I am not quite sure what it is but with mam lhoung it has papaya and roasted rice but if it’s not with that I don’t know what that is. Can you explain to me how does it taste like? Maybe I kill it different because each province in Cambodia do call things different from each-other sometimes

      @@Thearaspicykitchen I believe its a Vietnamese version , it has only fish and papaya , golden brown in color. They do sale it in jar , but the taste is too sweet unlike the way they make before. Thank you for replying Theara .

      @@Thearaspicykitchen not mum lhoung it is mum chao or trey chao they make in 24 house is ready to eat, they make at night and in the morning they take to sell at the market, back than i was 9 or 10 years old a round 1966, i can't remember how to do ,but it test very good can be eat raw or cook, it sweet and sour+ spies, # 1 they put papaya- carrot-and cabbage, # 2 they put some green fief and bamboo shout+ cha Om the rest i don't know, #2 it is not sweet& sour, just sour and spies .
