- This week's Mailbag has some great questions. Have our predictions for Pitt football changed? How do these playmakers compare to playmakers in the past? And who is this Pitt team - really? All that and more in this week's Mailbag.

This Pitt team’s success is directly tied into how good of a qb Holstein turns out to be. Not just this team but any football team high school level and up.
Even though the college game has drastically changed, you still cannot neglect recruiting. If you don't recruit well, you still won't be successful. Despite the transfer portal and all of that, recruiting is still a very essential part of college football success.
Pit wins by 12
thanks
To me this Pitt team, from what I have seen through two games, is one that has the capability to score and looks a little more explosive on offense than in recent years. With that being said, they also are a team is going to give up a lot of points as the defense is very inexperienced. I think there is talent on the defensive side of the ball, but it's young and inexperienced. So I think you could see a lot of shootouts this year where Pitt scores points, but the defense gives up a lot of points as these new starters gain more experience as the season goes on.
Why would you burn a redshirt for Special Teams?
You have to play 5 games to burn a year. In this world of NIL - redshirts are more of a risk
Any info on the Sean Fitzsimmons injury? Every year seems like it’s going to be his year and then he unfortunately gets hurt but with it happening before the season started no idea if or when he’ll start playing. We need him in the rotation.
Pitt will finish 9-3 this season.
