The fact that Hughes' passes were so on point during that whole rally is absolutely insane to me.
The 7 dives by Hughes & saves by USA made Ecuador tired enough to give up after 27 volley hits total for 1 point. Even the cameraman couldn't keep up with all the movement. Amazing!!!

@@Scapegoater no. The editor decided zoom in on other stuff and not only focus on the ball. And when the ball goes off screen through the bottom or top, there’s nothing that can be done cuz the camera doesn’t move.
Get an already captured pic of your face then zoom into your eye, then zoom on your other eye. It’s like that. Easy way to film cuz no catching up needs to be done

well i saw one when i was student when we were losing on last hit seem like we couldnt grab everyone started cheer already but one friend was there runnin behind ball and he kick the ball backwards so strong it gave us the point everyone was shocked
There’s something about women’s volleyball that makes it better than almost all other women’s sports from a spectator standpoint
From winning that one point the women are so exhausted they lose the next 2 points.
Being able to cover so much of the court is just superhuman.
Especially in sand. It was ridiculous.

After that double all out dive and high reverse dig back into play, you know it's over... the other team made two more great shots (one short cut shot, one first hit dig zipped to the far corner, that would have won the point 90% of the time, but Hughes was superhuman by that time and was already sprinting there in anticipation), but the team that did the most work for it got their well-deserved point !❤🎉
