Or maybe they said that it didn’t exist so that we won’t expect it when they reveal it.

Obviously, speedsters existed long before Mark Waid introduced the concept of Speed Force, and a lot of people *still* don't like it almost 27 years later (I'm on the fence, it's produced some of the dumbest stories imaginable, but there's also a certain logic to it). Story-wise, you can obviously have speedsters without Speed Force. Now let's look at Young Justice season 2. Weisman had Wally disappear, leaving no body behind. Everyone (including me) concluded that Wally wasn't dead, and given that Weisman didn't then have the Speed Force in mind, something else must have happened to Wally. So there's three things that could happen: 1) Some non-Speed Force thing happened (I'm voting for time travel, but winding up on an alternate Earth might be cool too). 2) Weisman changed his mind, and introduces Speed Force with season 4. Wally makes ghostly appearances. 3) We're all wrong, Wally's dead. I'm hoping that this is answered in Season 4. I really wanted this answered in Season 3, but that went off in a different direction.

I know that's the case in some stories, but there are others where he can't. As to why, technically, there's nothing to breathe in space since it is a vacuum. While his body likely won't be harmed by the radiation and everything else, he still needs to breathe. Season 2 even showed Kryptonians still have to breathe in this universe.

They retconned that a few episodes ago with the green monkey God. The transfusion helped prime his metagene but B.B.'s powers came from him bring chosen by the Guardian of fauna. (Swamp Thing is the Guardian of flora and I heard somewhere Poison Ivy shares a similar relationship to him as B.B. does to the Monkey God.) I think his comic origin had him being bitten by a radioactive green monkey.

I know that's the case in some stories, but there are others where he can't. As to why, technically, there's nothing to breathe in space since it is a vacuum. While his body likely won't be harmed by the radiation and everything else, he still needs to breathe. Season 2 even showed Kryptonians still have to breathe in this universe.

They retconned that a few episodes ago with the green monkey God. The transfusion helped prime his metagene but B.B.'s powers came from him bring chosen by the Guardian of fauna.
(Swamp Thing is the Guardian of flora and I heard somewhere Poison Ivy shares a similar relationship to him as B.B. does to the Monkey God.)
I think his comic origin had him being bitten by a radioactive green monkey.
