I now have 16 videos for my Cockatiel Charlie. He loves them! We rescued him from 3 years in a tiny cage with no toys and cat litter in the base. He has serious issues but happy and noisy now. Thank you for your video. He hisses at our budgies and they completely ignore him. He has made special friends with the youngest.

My Budgy loves these videos! She tries to imitate all the different bird's sounds . She jumps up & down & stares at the monitor while making the different bird's sounds, until I put one on. She than sits engrossed, watching as if it were a soap opera.

This is sad! I am caring for a very unfriendly Cockatiel named Benny. His elder owner is in Hospital with broken hip. While cleaning his cage this morning I perched him on a chair and played this video. This is the most active and exciting thing for him in the past 6 weeks. He has been calling out for 45 minutes. He is trying so hard to talk with the birds and must crave to be there. Birds need to be around other birds and not singular in a cage.

I agree with you, some people trim their bird's wings so they can't fly, it just breaks my heart, how would they like it if we cut their legs off.
I have two cockatiels because i dont wanted one because He would be sad same i say to others my friend wanted cockatiel but i told him He must have at least 2 cockatiels because one could be Very sad or depresed. So He dont have because his parrents dont want 2

My birds freak out each time youtube shows its always useless ads. Thank you so much for taking the time to upload this. My two cockatiels listen to this every morning when I take them out to fly. Please be aware that birds are social animals and will suffer from lack of companionship and lack of space if you don't provide them what they need, if you are planning on owning a cockatiel or any kind of bird, please make sure to recreate its own habitat as much as you can.

Thank you. This is Charlie's favorite video. I put my phone on his cage ( both doors always open) when we go out (escape ear splitting whistles). He winks very solemnly when happy and has learned softer sounds from the 4 budgies. He fly's like a brick but can surprise us. He enjoys shouting at the pigeon's eating his used food on the window sill. I love your Avery. Full of clean happy birds. There should be laws against small cages.

The Cockatiels are super friendly. The doves are friendly. Some of the Turqs are friendly, most of the rest are pretty close except for the Javas and Woody.

I had a Pearl cockatiel for a while, but it was a female - that's definitely a lot more chirping than I'm used to from one.
Males are quite vocal. I miss my normal grey. I had him for 21 years.

Here in NZ we call them Pukekos (Poo-kek-oh). They are also known as purple swamp hens and many other names. They are native to New Zealand, Australia and parts of Asia. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
I love you videos. We're the cockatiels tame when you got them or did they become tame over time? It seems like it would be hard to tame them in such a big aviary.

Hey guys my cockatiel only chirps back to other cockatiels but never whistles back to any other cockatiels. How do I make it whistle ?
Cockatiels have drastically different personalities and some may never whistle mine doesn't whistle but is still vocal and I've learned that if I ignore some types of chirp and respond to others consistently she will change to what I seem to respond too.
I tuned her out of just screeching and she learned to make sweet sounds that regularly have people comment (and reinforce) how nice she sounds turning her into a singer but she still doesn't whistle.
