Being strong in my faith, I can both appreciate the artistic attributes of the song and the band but I do get concerned about the people (kids) who are influenced enough to embrace the ideology. I am not into preaching to people who are free to choose as they wish but I am willing to bring up points for a different perspective. For instance, if you have a Devil and symbols of inverted crosses, can this be considered as choosing the least desirable of two choices? I’m old enough to realize I don’t have the power to change a person’s heart. Only they do. Yet, out of my love as a Christian, I can give clear and impactful examples of the joy, depth, love, and incredible curiosity my Christian life provides.
Martin did write a lot of them; however, keep in mind that Tobias wrote the entire first album and also has writing credits on most other songs in Ghost's catalogue too. While I think the change of ghouls will definitely have an effect on their success, I still don't doubt that Tobias could write an entire new album that tops the charts.
