*Before anyone say anything* there is an supported E3 in that cover, you probabally need to play in 0.25 speed to hear it. Also the E3s and F3s were just some lucky moments, Yuqi's consistent supported range is F#3/G3-G4
her consistent supported range is G3 ~ G4/G♯4, also imo she’s a soprano not a mezzo you can clearly hear how light her voice is compared to real mezzos
What do you think her tier is? A lot of people say weak but I think that’s because they’re judging her as a soprano that only supports up to G4/G#4. But as a mezzo, that’s pretty decent. I think she should at least be weak - average. She has over a full octave of supported range (most weak vocalists only have a little over half an octave). Her support is still occasionally shallow so I wouldn’t say average vocalist. I would say D+ tbh.
Also a lot of people say she isn’t a mezzo because she doesn’t have enough weight to her voice, but that’s not what makes a mezzo. Voice types are about where your voice naturally lies (tessitura), not about how heavy/light or dark/bright your voice is. That’s why their are subtypes to each vocal type. You can be a light mezzo, which is what I believe Yuqi is.
I also believe Yuqi is D+ or maybe just D because she lacks a little bit when it comes do mixing. And also talking about mixing, it's one of the biggest proofs that she's a mezzo, you can clearly see that she's always high larynx at 5th octave even at C5/C#5
I’ve been watching a few vocal tier videos, love this one 🩷 so even if someone is an alto, (they don’t hit super high notes), they can still be a good vocalist? Sorry if this is a dumb question😅
She is. Her voice naturally sits lower than a soprano which is why she’s able to support so low but only support up to G4/G#4. A soprano that had enough skill to support F#3/G3 would easily support Bb4/B4 at the minimum.
Hey, how did you learn all this stuff about vocal range and chords? Did you study music? Do you think I can learn it own my own? I can't sing but I'd like to know about these things.
I do not study music professionally bcuz i don't have money lol. But i watch a lot of videos on youtube about vocals and vocal technique so that's the way i found to slowly learn about music. Of course you can learn it too ❤
@@augustosilva2051 I've a "lower" voice than her and I've been still classified as a soprano , to be precise spinto soprano, by a professional opera singing teacher... So no,her tessitura is still not "low" enough to be called a mezzo.
@@elymary791 Her tessitura is G3 - D4, no soprano in the world has D4 like the highest part of the tessitura, is visible that the most comfortable part of her voice is the lows and her passaggio is literally of a mezzosoprano, E4/F4.
@@augustosilva2051Even for a mezzo-soprano D4 is low and easy to sing. In her case she has a not really developed voice so it's obvious that her highest note is a D4 but she can go absolutely higher with a little more vocal training. As I said, I have a similar tone as her and I can still get higher pretty easily thanks to a lot of vocal exercises, but that doesn't make me or her a mezzo..... There are a lot of different types (subcategories) of sopranos and some of them have a lower and thicker timber and tessitura but they still sound more feminine than a mezzo-soprano.

You only are seeing that timbre part and totally forgetting the TESSITURA and PASSAGGIO, and these 2 are screaming Mezzo-Soprano. We don't classify voice looking only for the timbre like you're doing now, the timbre is not THAT relevant to classify a voice, have your importance but is not the MOST. Being a good vocalist it's not only about high notes

Sure :)
Do a job for Nmixx ❤

I always thought she was an Alto, lol.
Well technically she is. Alto is a role, not a voice type, so if Yuqi was in a choir she would definetely be an alto
She was never a Mezzo-Soprano ;0... She is so ez ,lazy and too light in B4's
She's not a mezzo but well made video ✨
Her tessitura is too low to be a soprano, so yes, she's a mezzo.
