Well put together. Some great old photos in there. I'm in the process of planning a TH-cam video that also looks at Anderston. Is it possible to tell me where you got the photos of Stobcross Street and Cheapside Street?

Thank you, Cal Call, for this bitter-sweet, nostalgic, historical part in the braw jigsaw that is forever Glasgow.
    Stay free. Rab (Auld Springburn Boy/Man) 🍻 😎 👋 🕊

My mum, Rose McGrogan, was from Anderston (circa 1945). Her father worked at the Tamrex Public House. I would love to connect with anyone who is familiar with that family or the pub. Thanks in advance.

      Depressing......... Nahh!
Lived in West Campbell Street in the 60's/70's and watched Anderston become paradise for me and our friends as vacant semi demolished buildings would come and go.
Even more exciting were evenings when the area became filled with drunks from the many local pubs, ladies of the night from Blythswood Square and later, the new Anderston bus station as well as those down at heel and living in the Model Lodging Houses in Holm Street.
      You had to be there.......
