@@cathysmith997 I worked with Mike years ago (when he was a host on QVC) and he was always am amazing, funny, smart guy. Our whole family loves him too...and we are big supporters of the trades. Husband is an auto expert, son 1 is HVAC and son 2 is Auto Body.
A grown man that cries is a real man. I did not know knew a lot about this man. But I am highly impressed with him. It’s nice to find an actor of such personal character.
I absolutely love this reading, and I love John Ratzenberger. Playing Mac Truck in Cars...what a beautiful way to honor his father. Anytime I watch Cars now, I'll remember that Mac is John's father.
@@hollydavis3716 Ok scooby. I don't even remotely remember this video - but if you need to disagree with something I said 3 months ago...ok. Have a good evening ✌
@@bladedemissary I agree with you. Just last week someone complimented my daughter to me…they said “KK (her family nickname) has turned into a beautiful young woman inside and out”…and I said “yeah, I agree. I’m very proud of her”. But I thought about it and I couldn’t remember the last time I said it to her. So I made sure to tell her and hug her when I saw her again. She’s my only child, but it still applies. 😊😊
On really bad days sometimes I just call my dad and it never fails he can tell by my voice that all I need to hear is “I love you I’m proud of you and I can never be disappointed in you when your working your ass off”
I am a 60 plus women and was taught how to use all the tools. Freaked out a lot of guys over the years. And yes I passed it on to my boys and now my granddaughter
Lol. My late friend Mindy was sawing something in the kitchen and said, “don’t tell my husband I can do this.” She meant if he knew he wouldn’t do the honey do’s anymore. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm 54. My 20 year old daughter changed out the radiator in the van and did a complete brake job too. I've been working on making sure she knows she can do anything. Minor electrical and plumbing. All thanks to my mom showing me. Hope it will carry on for years to come
Now anytime I see that Mac truck when my son watches 'Cars' I'm inevitably going to burst into tears--one of the most beautiful messages and readings. Thank you, John, for continuing to speak to the importance of working with tools and those kinds of jobs!
John's father sounds like an incredible man. A man to be really proud of. What a hero he clearly was. John also seems to be following in his dad's footsteps. His endeavors are really admirable as are his values. I agree - people who manually labor are valuable and deserve much respect. Also, learning how to work with our hands is useful and empowering. What a great guy.
LOL he was checking her mailbox. Man, he is so sweet and calm. He went from Cheers to Pixar movies. I loved that he did the voice for the piggy bank, Ham in Toy Story. I haven't seen cars though. I love that his dad was incorporated in the movie. ❤
I have a strong work ethic I took a paper route the day I turned 13. I've never been ashamed of any job I've done. It was a job and it put a roof over my head and food on the table. I've gained a lot more respect for John Ratzenberger.
The way he talked about his dad and how he would always fix things and wanted to teach him how to repair things. That reminded me of my Grandpap on my dads side and how no matter what, everyone would say “I don’t know, take it to pap he’ll know how to fix it.” As a little kid it was like he was magic, and could fix anything; plus he always had batteries for all of our toys! He has been gone for 25 years, I was 14 when he passed, I really wish we had more time with him!
I loved the Cheers show, John was a funny guy and certainly missed. I am glad that now he realizes that his dad knows of his success. Thank you Theresa for sharing his reading with us I was moved.
I just love his personality and have enjoyed every character he played. He was a City Carrier on Cheers and I spent 20 years as a Rural Carrier. What a blessing that he is encouraging youngsters to learn the do it yourself philosophy and way of life. Great job as always Theresa.
Love love love this guy! In tears with John watching this! Remember him in Cheers, but love hearing his voice in the Pixar films and long may it continue 😀
I cried right with you John😢as I miss my wonderful Dad so very much. The passing of my Dads departure is coming up on June 13th and it will be 5 years now😢but it still feels like yesterday and my heart hurts everyday for him. What a lovely person John is. Sometimes we build up actors based on the character they play, but John is his true self. And he looks so much like his father. Thank you Teresa for bringing comfort to this marvelous actor and person.
I so agree with Mr. Ratzenberger about not many people lnow how to make things anymore ! Now we know why he is quite a gentleman- he gets it from his father with whom I agree that all boys keed to hear their father twll them that he is proud of him! Theresa, thanks for the great reading. I hope someday we will be able to meet.
Cars is a gem from my childhood, hearing John's voice in Pixar's movies made me so happy and filled my soul with joy. The fact that Mac was a tribute to his father really took me away as he was and is one of my favourite Pixar characters! John Ratzenberger, you are a treasure ❤ Your father has been with you, every step of the way.
Cheers is a wonderfully great show, especially the series finale, fantastic, I still remember that great ending especially Sam saying, sorry we're closed and of course I'm the luckiest son of a bitch on earth.
John, You are a treasure and apart of so many lives through your work and your message. Cars awe you were Mack in honor of your dad God is good! One tough Mama too- 🥰
Every child and every teen, boy, and girl needs to hear I love you, and I'm proud of you. I think there was a generation that didn't share those words.
it’s so insane I understand his father on a deeper level. My dad is a hard working truck driver and his favorite truck is a Mack truck and because of that he loves the movie cars a lot 😭😭😭😭
This is so great I love it he looks so good even after all these years I can't believe it wow how great of a job do you got.Teresa what did you do to your leg? I feel so bad for you.

I'm sorry you go through that. I don't know the reason why you and your father's relationship is like that but I have the same relationship with my brother and sister. My reason is they never loved me and I'm not a bad person and never did anything to them. They both are alcoholics so that is the only reason I can come up with to understand it.
