OK again. Pretty sure she is not his Love interest. Girl friend is more accurate. But not love interest. Because he does not show love for anyone. I am very certain hes only 13 years old and that is why everyone is,being older than him has more emotional luggage as one would put it. They are teenagers and adults and he is just a kid on a grand adventure.

The story line in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time is by far the best! You discover both Ratchet and Clank's backgrounds!

Well you SEE clank being born in the first game and what happens in Crack in time is simply something made up in the moment. Very great indeed, but there were no real needs before to know about a secret clanks past. As for ratchet, the entirety of the future saga is about his background, not just crack in time.
Clank was made in a facility to serve for Chairman Drek but was a defect. The Crack in time version is kinda stupid but whatever
Insomniac needs to bring Talwyn back in the next entry. We haven't found her father, Max, and Angela Cross was last seen with him. If we find Max Apogee, then it could lead to all plot points being wrapped up.
Then what is the point of introducing rivet? I truly don't understand If they really want to continue the old plot then why rivet
@@Belal22 I mean, why introduce Talwyn (and give her a cameo in the credits) and not finish the plot points that are connected to her about 15 years after her debut? Rivet being introduced shouldn't overwrite what was set up in the Future trilogy.

I gotta be honest I'm not a fan, there's just something off about them to me. All the details I liked in the cutscenes of previous games just aren't there and I'm not sure why, aside from that this clearly had mocap animation involved, or I may be wrong.
In my humble opinion, Sasha is the best choice for Ratchet. As for Angela, they actually flirted a bit, but it looked quite cold and unnatural. There is too much genre difference between Ratchet and Talwyn. Rivet, on the other hand, is Ratchet's counterpart, and they don't flirt with each other, they're just friends. As for Sasha, she is the only woman who has kissed Ratchet. Besides, Ratchet proposed marriage to her. When we see them in up your arsenal, they actually sparkle between them. Apart from that, their love attempts sometimes lead to funny situations.
Lol. I didn't even remember who Sasha is. So that's how irrelevant she's been to me. With her it's just a temporary crush as I see it, and I strongly disagree with Angela. I feel that Angela got closer to ratchet and clank than any other.
Agreed, even though it's honestly a pretty low bar when it comes to Ratchet's love interests.
Daddy-issues-Talwyn is just a non-character, to a point that despite having to insist she's supposed to be the keeper of all the girls Ratchet's had a thing with in the series, five mainline games after her introduction the devs still can't figure out anything worthwhile to do with her.
Angela had some light flirty banter with Ratchet, but there's no indication it ever went beyond that and the game lampshading Ratchet having bit of a thing for her by how protective he got where she was concerned is basically the only reason Angela even qualifies as a love interest.
While I wouldn't claim Sasha's relationship with Ratchet to have been some grand romantic writing either, the two of them had some actual chemistry and ongoing cute back and forth, that was enough to sell them as two individuals, who were genuinely into each other and the game actually clearly established them as a couple by the end of Up Your Arsenal. With Talwyn they couldn't even be bothered to do that much.
I do know what you’re saying about some of that stuff, but personally I like Talwyn better.
Plus unlike Sasha Talwyn dosen’t have any family left since her father disappeared and her robots Cronk & Zephyr were killed in the last game.

I'm down for one more Ratchet game, but it can't have Nefarious as the villain again and it needs to wrap up the whole Lombax-race/Talwyn's father plot. I'm fairly certain they will bring Angela back for some extra-closure. Why not right? Some people say that Rivet has already replaced Angela, but to me there's no reason why we couldn't have 2 female lombaxes
That’s why I’ve been saying on Reddit it’s gotta be Tachyon. He’s the reason Max disappeared after he used the dimensionator to warp Angela to the lombax dimension, or rather to Rivet’s world before sending her to the lombax dimension, then went to Jasindu to hide the dimensionator there and most likely warped to the Lombax dimension with the help of a Kerchu. Percy’s a cragmite who wants to destroy the lombaxes especially when Ratchet banished him to a rock and was stuck with Zogg. Since Nefarious was throwing reality out of whack one of those portals had to have pulled Tachyon through, all he’s gotta do is tail Ratchet and Rivet and steal the dimensionator to unleash the Cragmites back on the Lombaxes. This’ll also provide Rivet’s outlook on the creatures that left her alone in another dimension and potentially an orphan like Ratchet if Tachyon is to know and or done anything to Rivet’s parents.
Apparently there will be a new one! In 2029.
Funny how Insomniac loves mentioning Talwyn but they never really do anything with her character. She's not Angela levels of doomed but yes, Talwyn's barely a character. I guess I understand why people prefer to ship Ratchet and Rivet despite technically being the same person.
@The Joker Well that's just it. I personally feel that not much is done with Talwyn's character. She's just.....exists. But doesn't really have much purpose aside from being Ratchet and Clank's ally as well as Ratchet's girlfriend. She honestly has more purpose and a better character moment in the official comic series but unfortunately none of that happens in the actual games.
The one interesting story point Insomniac had set up for her father, Max Apogee, has kind of been abandoned. None of the characters have ever mentioned his disappearance or made any sort of attempt to locate him, assuming he's still alive, which he most likely is. It's made worse when Insomniac decided to include the possibility that Angela, a character who's been completely abandoned and retconned by the developers,was with Max Apogee but ultimately chose not to revisit that plot point. All I'm saying is, they really need to do more with Talwyn, and maybe then I can actually like her character. I don't hate her, it's just that she really doesn't stand out, making me have zero reasons to care for her character.
@@coolgirl2044 I mean she could always appear within the next game, which seems like a grand finale to the franchise if the credit sequence is anything to go by, in fact it could also expand character playability with including Talwyn sequences too. We might see more Lombaxes and where they went, along with finally seeing Max Apogee. This all coming together and putting all the characters for one huge game finale with Ratchet, Clank, Talwyn, Rivet, Max, Quark, Nefarious, The Lombaxes and so on.

During the battle with alister I just relized Alister doesn't use his lightning attack he uses before the time reversal. He mostly uses maella and his specially made bombs during the final fight in crack in time. Even in the end he ultimately cared for Ratchet and willingly died to stop the disaster.
Nah. Ratchet had the groovitron and in RYNO 5 + Clank's timebomb. Allister doesn't have to pullback to be defeated. Ratchet getting hit was a plot armor so Clank can turn back time not more than 6 minutes.
@user-pi1lb4tf2f I actually wasn't able to obtain the ryno 5 and avoided using Clank's time bombs. I went with the buzz blades, the negotiator, groovitron mostly because seeing alister do the moon walk and disco was kind of surprising when I first used it and I believe the cryomine.

Ratchet & Clank is such an amazing game series. Shame I didn't play the PS3 games since i only got XBOX 360. But maybe some year in the future if PlayStation added PS3 games for the PS5 as an emulator. But i doubt it won't happen but you know i'll wait and see

Canonically it makes sense as a sequel to Into the Nexus, which comes after the Future trilogy and All 4 One. Into the Nexus ends with the Dimensionator breaking and Clank snatching it, while Rift Apart starts with Clank fixing it

Only ones I haven't played was deadlocked/rift a part and the other one which was a remake of the first game and copy of the movie.

@@teagsmid3707 I'm sorry to say this but, at least in regards to personality, Rivet is better. This is why I can't fully ship Ratchet with Talwyn, Insomniac hasn't really done anything with her. At least not yet. She's kind of a nothing character, if I'm being honest. Now, that doesn't mean I ship Ratchet with Rivet. That'd be pretty weird, having an alternate version of yourself (yes, if Rivet's dimension has alternate versions of Ratchet's allies then it would only make sense for her to be Ratchet's alternate) but at the very least Rivet and Ratchet have chemistry, romantic or platonic. I'm just saying, give Talwyn more purpose or at the very least give her a personality rather than having her JUST be "Ratchet's 'girlfriend'". Maybe then I'll be fine with shipping them but until then, I don't really see it, even if it IS canon.

As for if that’s real, well it was confirmed 8 years ago. In the games, never. Hell, in the same conformation they said they didn’t want to confirm anything in the games. It’s not the series strong suit to portray romance and they honestly weren’t interested in doing so, even when Talwyn was a thing.
Would they want to scrap that to try their hand at it in games now? Sure. A lot changes in 8 years. Plus, like I said, it’s easy to do so by their own admission.
But that’s up to them. There’s nothing confirming or denying that relationship persisted. And if insomniac hasn’t changed their stand point on that, there never will be.
But who knows? They tried and did pretty well with romance in Spider man. And made a slow burn one with Miles Morales. So while Rift Apart is innovative as a PS5 launch title, the next one may innovate through story. Being a love story where the player plays both sides of it. That’s pretty interesting as to my knowledge, Max Payne 2 is the only game to do something like that, and it wasn’t very happy with that concept. So it’d be a smart play if that’s what they are going for. I’m sure that romantic hints between Ratchet and Rivet and not mentioning Talwyn in any romantic capacity is a deliberate choice. Either for the potential of a love story between Ratchet and Rivet in the next game, or to pin the heavy lifting onto dark horse again, or to never mention it so that people stop basing their identities around Ratchets love life and so that Ratchet’s love life is never mentioned again, it’s all possible.
Maybe even a game with their kids as you mentioned. Again, who knows? Insomniac is a different company than they were 8 years ago, and the writing staff is different to my knowledge. So there is a lot they could do. As much as The Joker wants to cry about how that relationship isn’t possible, it is. It was given with the words of devs and can be taken away just as easily and still fit since conformation was never in the games. Like I said, Insomniac didn’t want it to be.
So the point of all of this is, let’s see what Insomniac does next. Because this is definitely setting up something big for the future of the series. I’m just not sure what.

Ratchet & Clank: In Another Dimension, it's a direct continuation of the 2016 Reboot, Talwyn doesn't appear in this game, so how does Ratchet remember her in this game?
The 2016 reboot is seperate from Rift Apart. Rift Apart is part of the future saga (Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, A Crack in Time, Into the Nexus)

As much people ship Ratchet with Talwyn - I think Rivet is just the better fit. I think... maybe. We'll see what happens next game. I hope that comes in the next 5 years. And to be clear - Ratchet doesn't have a crush on Rivet - but I think the other way around. Maybe they will split Ratchet and Talwyn appart by making her an Enemy of the Galaxy - maybe plot twist it - so she's the real culprit behind the disappearence of all lombaxes and just having fun creating a hero to defeat her? Man this is kinda hard to move on when creator confirmed that talwyn is rachet's girlfriend and 7 or 8 years after New game called rachet and clank : rift apart, there is the nice and make sense girl to be rachet's girlfriend as the same species like rachet, and has same high with rachet (Rivet), and the game show us that on art book Rachet have a picnic with Rivet, Kit, Clank and spend time with rivet and doing an adventure to the other dimension with rivet

In a way i totally ship Rivet with Ratchet mainly because it makes sense in almost every way, their both Lombax's, they both want to look for their own kind, and their friends Clank and Kit would be perfect for each other as well. However Ratchet and Talwyn's relationship is far more realistic and you can see how they care for one another, and now that we know that Talwyn is still around at the end of Rift Apart its unlikely Ratchet will be with Rivet.
HOWEVER a Ratchet and Rivet ship could still be possible because Rift Apart is only the start of their relationship and who knows whats gonna happen next. In order for Ratchet and Rivet to be possible Talwyn and Ratchet would either have to break up...or Talwyn would just have to be killed off... (Unironically the ladder makes the most sense.)
That’s not gonna happen nobody is replacing Ratchet are always be with Talwyn forever he care for her in game and comic

Hell no, imo ratchet has changed, well the developers made ratchet way too childish/family friendly. He was a badass lombax at first in the future saga and only helped people if het got profit but now he is like some sort of "Super hero" after into the nexus ratchet wasn't ratchet anymore

Possible eye color: Since Ratchet has green eyes and Talwyn has blue eyes, there's a 50% chance for blue eyes and the same 50% green. If I'm not dumb, it depends on who's genes are dominant. If Ratchet's genes are dominant then the kid will have green eyes. If Talwyn's genes are - then blue.
Fur: Hm.... In this situation, there are 2 different species. A child might be a lombax or a markazian.... But! He can be something in between! He might have Lombax ears and a tail of a Markazian, the fur can be shorter than Ratchet's one and be the skin color of of Talwyn. Or he might have a skin of Ratchet's yellow color.
Variations: there can be a lot!
It can be:
1)A lombax girl with blue eyes and yellow fur.
2)A lombax boy with green eyes.
3)A lombax boy with Talwyn's skin color and a Markazian girl with Ratchet's fur.
4)A Markazian boy with lombax ears and a lombax tail but without the yellow fur and a lombax girl without lombax traits (except the nose) that has yellow fur.
5)A super combination: half lombax - half Markazian. Half yellow - half pinkish. Ears that look like Markazian and Lombax ones. Half furry - half furless.... Sounds pretty terrifying lmao
6)A furry Markazian girl with a lombax tail without Lombax's ears.
And... I can't think of anything else 😅

Doing something off-screen because Insomniac are prone to writing female characters who's sole purpose is to be Ratchet's love interest and or be forgotten by the fandom. The only competent female character in the series is Rivet.
I sure hope that ratchet and rivet become an item. They need to repopulate the lombax race
