@@jinpayne the blaster Obi-Wan had in the series was also ripped from Blade Runner, as was the aesthetic in that city, but also some of his wardrobe was very K

Hey man just a heads up. Mr.Super makes a flat as well that a little duller than the matte. Also you may want to give them your figs a hot water/dish soap bath before hitting them with the spray. Especially ones that have lots of plain cast plastic with no paint. Undoubtedly they have some residual mold release or factory chemical left on them. I know I get better results when I do a quick wash first.

Great review as always! Really love the look of the droid, I just wish Hasbro didn't consider him a full-sized figure and price this exclusive as if it's a 2 pack, when it really isn't. If they can give us Cad Bane with accessories and Todo at a regular con price, they could've done the same here. We'll see if I pick this up, but I don't want Hasbro thinking they can get away with calling a small accessory an entire new figure and jacking up the price.
They think can call the tiny Grogu from the "3 set" a whole figure, sadly this trend probably won't go away. :(

I just got my single pack version in and i didnt have the shine problem, he came out of the box only slightly shiny and a single layer of mr super clear took care of it
Found this on Big Bad for $25, figured why not. I already have the "updated" R1 Cassian that I'm happy with so this one's becoming the base body for a custom. B2 will probably get a different paint job as well. Is that blasphemous to do for an "exclusive" like this?

I'm confused by the "Convention Exclusive" part, since it looks like you can buy it online from Hasbro Pulse and someone else said gamestop. So is this not actually an exclusive then? I'm new to collecting so apologies for the possibly dumb question

Great review, and I think we can all agree, the standard for any collector of black series, is to purchase a can of matte clear paint.
I hope we get this version of Andor in the regular line without the Droid.
Starting to hate these new black series releases can't say any of the new figures look like they are worth $30+

Cassian's face still looks a little off, but overall I like the look of them. You could slip them into any Star Wars display as random background characters.
At least they tried to their best to make it look like Diego Luna
