Great truck it needs some transmission adjustment, paint job , a good tune up a oil change battery diagnosis , the usual if you are into cars and trucks make sure the tires are aligned , my father had the same truck and I work on it once a month and I enjoy doing fluid change here and there I find the old trucks easy to work on them my father had a endless supply of tools plus my friends had a endless knowledge of mechanic just about every cain of automobile in the market after he got married his wife complaint about working on the cars every weekend the best way to learn about cars and trucks it was hands on it 👍
That's a squarebody pickup but for under $12,000 still good project I've some rust by cab corners & floors this seems solid other than someone hacked this truck together.
I had a 77 GMC Jimmy 4x4 … had a 4 inch lift and 35 in tires. Not a bad truck but the metal is terrible on these trucks. Hey Nick you might have to get out and lock those front hubs for 4WD …
Truck looks to have a considerable amount of bondo on it.

Yep that trans is for pulling a load. Probably a NP435 trans and a NP203 transfer case.
