- Pheasants Forever's Rooster Road Trip kicks off in North Dakota as the crew cuts their bird dogs loose in hopes of finding public land pheasants. Will the ongoing drought show its effects? Will the dogs find roosters and shots hit their mark? Watch Episode One to find out.
For those of you riding shotgun for the first time, the goal of the Rooster Road Trip is to show with a little ambition and a lot of boot leather, public land birds can be had by you and anyone who’s willing to purchase a license and explore these fantastic upland landscapes that are available to all of us.
So follow along as this year's four episodes take us through the uplands of North Dakota and South Dakota as they highlight publicly-accessible lands, habitat projects, great people, and equally great bird dogs.

Nice info but, I would recommend an introduction of what firearm your using and why, weight, brand, my grandfather gave it to me and so on, the load your using/why, birds are close, far, windy, free. I only mention this for helping the new hunter that may not know what shell to use in any given situation, or they see people limit themselves to two rounds instead of three.
