Self Indulgent DJ, right here. Wooo! Being selfish is very liberating. It might not bring in the big bucks and bottle service but you're free to play what you want. You're less stressed by peer pressure and money which means more enjoyment of the art of DJing. And you won't be pigeonholed into just one genre for the rest of your life, you can jump ship and try other genres anytime you want, or switch genres back and forth in your sets. You're free to define what DJing is, free to experiment with technology that's not stereo-typically considered as "DJ Gear". But before you jailbreak your mind, check your personality type: Are you the type person who eats the same thing for breakfast every morning? If so, then you might as well stay locked up in one genre. Boring. I decided early on, at age of 14, that DJing will be my life long hobby, whether I made money on it or not.
I said it before on here but will say it again, you guys Phil Steve and Ben need to start doing some livestreams/or even just vids of some of your mixes again, really enjoyed them during lockdown, you don't have to do them every week would at least a few every now and then. You defo got an hour here and there to spare us right?
We prefer to get our hands on units testing properly and then let our students know how they might want to use them rather than spend all our time chasing FCC documents et cetera! As soon as we have something solid we’ll share👍
@8:44 I'm a DJ/Audience hybrid, I've been experimenting with this method since the mid 80's. It wasn't easy at first. There were times when the kids at the party expected me to do my magic on the decks, instead I was fncking off in the back room having cocktails. lol. There were even times when I was cheering on the rival DJ crews lol I also experimented with talking with myself. Because of my catholic background, I was told that talking with an imaginary friend called Jesus will grant my wishes. My rebellious punk side decided to challenge this idea by talking with myself instead. Thus, Tyler Durden was born. I was diagnosed in the military as a functioning schizo, and I was scrutinized through out my four years of service, and their study made its way to hollywood. The film Fight Club is based loosely on my experience in the USMC. No Lie. I was also a military LSD human experiment which inspired many other hollywood films.. slippery rabbit hole, I know..

Thanks for the suggestion
All caught up on videos. Now have to watch the Live videos.
Bring back blending time out for the scratching
What are the legalities around uploading mixes to youtube, mixcloud or soundcloud?
Mixcloud fully legal, SoundCloud and TH-cam grey area and you may come into problems
No mention of the XDJ-AZ? Thought you would have been all over that news 🧐
